[Parents: Take Give with Grace]( Photo Credit: Melanie Dunea [Dr. Becky Kennedy Has Been Known To Lose Her Cool]( [Grace Bastidas]( Hi, it's Grace, Editor in Chief of Parents. Welcome to my bi-weekly column, where I'll bring you conversations with well-known personalities sharing their rituals, routines, and experiences on this ride called parenthood. [Grace Bastidas, Editor-In-Chief]( It's true: Dr. Becky sometimes loses it and yells at her kids. "I'm not even apologetic about it," says the mom of three, ages 7, 9, and 12. "I mean, I repair, but I don't think that I should be perfectly calm and attuned all the time," she adds. "Me neither," I tell her, feeling slightly relieved that Rebecca Kennedy, PhD, a clinical psychologist, bestselling author, and founder of Good Inside, is not so different from the rest of us. "We're all trying to do a bit better on more days of the year," she concurs. That's why she recently launched the Good Inside app. Dr. Becky understands that all parents get frustrated, and she wants to be the person caregivers turn to in those moments for personalized, age-based advice. "Even if you use our app once a week for two minutes, you'll start liking your kid again, liking yourself, and liking parenting a little more," she says, on the verge of tears.
