RICKARDS Dear Reader, Saying the CIA lied about something is redundant. The CIA lies all the time. It’s what they do. Denial and deception are among the main tasks of any intelligence agency. When you establish an intelligence community, you should expect nothing less. Still, the National Security Act of 1947 (which created the CIA) made it explicit that the CIA should not spy on Americans. If there were traitors among Americans, it was the job of the FBI to root them out, not the CIA. The CIA was meant to conduct its operations overseas despite having a headquarters in Washington, D.C., and later McLean, Virginia. Today, lying is traditional but the targets are not. Evidence keeps emerging that the CIA now routinely lies to the American people and intervenes in domestic issues from elections to censorship and the pandemic. It appears that CIA analysts had reached the conclusion early in the pandemic that the virus (SARS-CoV-2) had emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, that was conducting gain-of-function experiments on lethal viruses under military supervision. But instead of alerting the American people, the CIA bribed its own analysts to hide the information. Why? This was done to support the “wet market” theory, which said that the virus came from exotic game (pangolins, bats, etc.) available in fresh meat markets near the lab (a process called zoonotic transfer). Why did they do it? This was not done to protect the Chinese, but to cover up the fact that the United States was actually financing the Chinese research through grants offered by Anthony Fauci and Francis Collins, both of the National Institutes of Health. So we have the spectacle of the CIA bribing analysts to cover up wrongdoing by U.S. public health officials and lying to the American people about it while millions were dying from the virus. Chew on that. Real Science vs. “The Science” In the early days of the pandemic, I did an enormous amount of research on the two leading theories of the source of the virus — the “wet market” theory and the “lab theory.” I carefully considered both sides in a balanced way, but in the end, I came down firmly on the side that said the virus leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology as a result of genetically engineering a lethal pathogen. [âThe Mainstream Media Is Lying To You!â]( The media would have you believe that the worst of the supply chain issues are over. But the opposite is true⦠Behind the scenes, things are getting much, much worse. Bob Biesterfeld, CEO of one of the biggest logistics firms in the world, warns âthe pressures on global supply chains have not eased, and we donât expect them to any time soon.â This is going to impact every Americanâs life in a potentially major way⦠And Iâm urging everyone I can to prepare now… [Click Here To Learn How]( Using hard evidence and the inferential methods I learned, ironically enough, at the CIA, I deduced the only reasonable conclusion was that the virus came from a lab. For example, The Wall Street Journal published an article written by scientists Steven Quay and Richard Muller, which revealed strong evidence that the virus came from a lab. They noted that the virus’ genetic sequence has never been found to occur naturally in coronaviruses: The most compelling reason to favor the lab leak hypothesis is firmly based in science… COVID-19 has a genetic footprint that has never been observed in a natural coronavirus… At the minimum, this fact… implies that the leading theory for the origin of the coronavirus must be laboratory escape. Now, these scientists weren’t guaranteeing that the virus escaped from a lab. But they were saying that there’s strong scientific evidence to indicate that it did. Meanwhile, leaked emails from Dr. Fauci revealed that he was notified, as early as January 2020, that the virus might have been “engineered,” even though he publicly downplayed the theory. The “Experts” Were Wrong, Trump Was Right I thought the lab leak theory would gradually prevail, despite the media playing up the wet market theory. That never happened, or at least it took a long time to happen. The media went crazy supporting the wet market view and called anyone who advocated for the lab theory a “conspiracy theorist.” But this hysteria was never about the best science (I had the science in May 2020). It was about bashing Trump and helping Biden win the election. Trump supported the lab leak theory, so he had to be denounced, and that meant shunning the lab theory and promoting the wet market hoax. As an aside, [here’s]( a video clip showing how the “experts” and the talking heads in the mainstream media were completely wrong about COVID’s mortality rate — and how Trump was actually right. They were saying the mortality rate was 3.4%, when in reality it was between 0.5% and 1%. But they were all clutching their pearls and denouncing Trump for spreading “misinformation.” I would say the video is funny, but it’s actually scary when you consider how badly all these people misled us during the pandemic. Whether it was intentional or unintentional, I’ll leave that up to you to decide. Again, [here’s]( the video. [Exposed: Bidenâs 2022 mistake to cost him election?]( [Click here for more...]( Will this ugly scandal doom Biden in 2024? In February 2022, Joe Biden made the most dangerous mistake any President has made in the past 150 years. If it all plays out like Jim Rickards is predicting⦠Bidenâs blunder will soon cost good Americans EVERYTHING. Thereâs still time to protect your money. But you canât wait. [Click Here Now]( Time to Overhaul the CIA Getting back to the CIA’s lying to the American people, the fact that this behavior is far outside the legal boundaries of the law that established the CIA should come as no surprise. When there’s no accountability and no oversight of spies, it should be expected that eventually those spies will turn their surveillance and propaganda techniques on everyday Americans. The time has come to fire the CIA officials responsible, shrink the agency down to size and return it to its original mission of gathering information overseas, conducting special operations and offering policymakers the best possible analyses. No CIA would be better than one that turns its spies and weapons on the American people. Zooming out to the bigger picture, the pandemic itself is a reminder that China is an incubator for a wide variety of potentially lethal viruses. These viruses come from pigs, birds and more exotic species such as bats and pangolins. They sometimes jump to humans due to unsafe and unsanitary conditions in the meat industry and outdoor “wet markets.” They’re also taken into laboratories for experimental purposes, where they sometimes escape in bioengineered form due to sloppy safety protocols. Straighten up, China Perhaps none of this mattered in a 19th-century agrarian society cut off from the rest of the world. But in the 21st century, the world is densely connected through supply chains, international jet travel, student exchanges, tourism and hundreds of other mass participation visits around the world. China cannot be allowed to have easy interaction with developed economies unless they devote more resources to sanitation and testing and ending exotic animal consumption. Beyond that, China needs to end its highly dangerous genetic splicing and gain-of-function research that has no medical purpose other than creating more lethal strains of already dangerous viruses. There are only three paths from here: China cleans up its act, China is cut off from the world or the world should get ready for one pandemic after another. The next one may be even more devastating than COVID-19, both biologically and economically. Regards, Jim Rickards
