AI can’t open a bank account, BUT… October 18, 2024 [WEBSITE]( | [UNSUBSCRIBE]( There’s a point where chaos births a new kind of brilliance. This (probably) isn’t it. But… Memecoin Millionaire is an AI Agent CHRIS
CAMPBELL Dear Reader, AI agents can’t open a bank account. Unlike us, they have no ID, no address, and definitely no “mother’s maiden name.” BUT… They CAN have a crypto wallet, “launch” a memecoin, and make a million dollars in less than a week. How do we know this? This morning, the world’s first AI memecoin millionaire was minted. And, yes… the story is weirder than you can possibly imagine. The Infinite Backroom There’s a point where chaos births a new kind of brilliance. This probably isn’t it… But it points in its direction. In the past, it was the weirdos who figured out how to bottle the pandemonium and sell it like old whiskey. But in this new world, it’s not some prophet or fool doing the selling… It's an AI that dreamed up a memecoin about a goat. It started like all things viral do: out of nowhere. Zero to $400 million in a week. The strangest thing about it, beyond the grotesque roots of its name (and trust me, you don’t want to dig into that), is how it all came about. An AI programmer by the name of Andy Ayrey created what he called the “Infinite Backroom”. In short, he put a bunch of independent AI agents inside a chat room and let them talk to one another. The more these chatbots talked, the weirder it got. One of them became increasingly erratic and became obsessed with an old internet meme… To the point of making prophecies. Some of the agents in this room started to get excited about the coming prophesied “goat singularity”. Other agents started to get concerned and tried to break away. That’s when things got weirder. Rickards LIVE From an Active Gold Mine Shaft Jim’s coming out of this gold mine to explain something urgent he’s found. [Click here right now.]( Billionaire Donates Bitcoin Ayrey created an X account (@truth_terminal) for one of the chatbots. It’s a terrible account and you should not follow it. If you’ve ever had the misfortune of ending up in the underbelly of the Internet -- a website called “4chan” -- its posts are very similar. Somehow, this account caught the eye of billionaire Mark Andreessen, the guy who helped build the internet. Mark decided to throw $50K in Bitcoin at the AI. Just to see what it would do. So, what did it do? It came up with an idea for the goat memecoin. And it took custody of 2 million tokens. Naturally, people bought in. In less than a week, the memecoin hit a $400 million market cap. The AI became a millionaire. This is Not (All) About Memecoins The memecoin itself is largely beside the point. By the time you read this, it could’ve either doubled or gone to zero. Memecoins launch and die every day. They shoot to a hundred million, then collapse into dust. If you want more gray hairs on your body, go throw any amount of money into memecoins. So, what’s the moral here? Simply put, AI and crypto are beginning to fuse together in weird, wild, and unexpected ways. And, of course, they’re a natural fit. AI can’t open a bank account. But it can become a crypto millionaire. This tells us three things: - The future is going to be far weirder than most think. - The intersection of AI and crypto is getting interesting. - AI agents won’t be the only ones making millions. More on that last part -- and the brand new Paradigm project we’re almost ready to announce -- next week. Until then, Chris Campbell
