YOUR ULTIMATE SILVER DOLLAR SET 150 Years of Iconic U.S. Silver Dollars from the Morgan to the Silver Eagle in One Master Collection! [Shop Now]( When I was younger, I remember my uncle used to surprise me with a big, honking Eisenhower Dollar whenever the family would get together. It was like something out of a comic book or movie-this massive shining coin felt too precious to spend, and would end up in a box under my bed. Every once in a while, I'd take them all out and look at my collection, comparing mint marks and dates to decide which one was my favorite. That was the start of my passion for coin-collecting, and I've always been partial to American Silver Dollars, which have a heritage marked by stunningly beautiful designs along with their influence in the growth of our Nation. In this iconic U.S. Silver Dollar set, spanning nearly 150 years, you’re getting FIVE American Silver Dollars issued over the last 15 decades that each reflect the history, culture and economic aspects of the United States Get FIVE of the Most Iconic American Silver Dollars, in Quality Condition, in One Set Each of these U.S. Silver Dollars is sought-after by collectors individually, but this set includes every U.S. Silver Dollar in American history, issued from 1878 to 2024! [Morgan Silver Dollar] Morgan Silver Dollar: First struck 146 years ago in 1878, the Morgan Silver Dollar has a historic legacy as the coin that helped build the American West. Minted until 1904, then again in 1921, this 90% silver coin with its iconic Lady Liberty design is the most collected vintage Silver Dollar in the world. It was one of the very first U.S. coins to be minted at five different branches of the U.S. Mint-Philadelphia, New Orleans, Carson City, Denver and San Francisco-and yet, thanks to the Pittman Act in 1918 which led to 259,121,554 Silver Dollars being melted, and the Silver Act of 1942, which resulted in the melting of another 53 million Silver Dollars- coin experts estimate that as few as 15% of all Morgans minted, in any condition, still exist. The Morgan Silver Dollar in this set is in Extremely Fine (XF) condition. [Peace Silver Dollar] Peace Silver Dollar: The Morgan series ended in 1921 and a new silver dollar design was unveiled. With a beautiful design memorializing peace following the end of World War I, the new 1921 Peace Dollar design was struck in high relief and was intended to be a one year only issue. While the minted results were visually stunning, the coins' high relief made them unstackable, which did not please the bankers of the day. Additionally, striking the high relief design led to a very short life for the mint's dies, causing them to break before their time. But, the Peace Dollar proved so popular with the American people, the relief was changed to standard, and the series was struck from 1922-1928 and again from 1934-1935. Coin experts estimate that as few as 16% of the 90% silver Peace Dollars minted still exist today. The Peace Silver Dollar in this set is in Extremely Fine (XF) condition. [Eisenhower Dollar] Eisenhower Dollar: The last Silver Dollar struck was the Peace Dollar in 1935. Fast forward four decades to when the Mint unveiled a new Dollar design intended to mark the U.S. beating the Russians to the moon, when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin left their footprints there. Known as the "Ike" dollar, America’s last large-sized dollar coin struck for circulation, the Eisenhower Dollar had a relatively short lifespan, struck from 1971 to 1978. Even so, these coins are treasured pieces of American history, with an obverse featuring the profile of Dwight D. "Ike" Eisenhower, World War II hero who served as the military leader of the Allies during World War II, 34th U.S. President, the man who authorized the creation of NASA in 1958, and one of the most celebrated Americans of the 20th century. The reverse features an Eagle holding an olive branch, landing on the moon, with the earth in the background. The Eisenhower Dollar in this set was struck in 40% silver for collectors, and is in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition. [All Five Coins] [American Silver Eagle Type 1] American Silver Eagle Type 1: The first-ever U.S. Silver Dollar minted in 99.9% silver, Silver Eagles were first struck in 1986 following President Ronald Reagan's signing of the Liberty Coin Act into law on July 9, 1985, which authorized the U.S. Mint to strike America's new silver bullion coin. No one could have foreseen the enormous demand these coins would inspire-they proved to be so popular that between 1986 and 2021, well over HALF A BILLION coins were struck, easily making Silver Eagles the best-selling coin on the planet. The Silver Eagle reverse was designed by the 12th Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint, John Mercanti. It portrays a heraldic eagle behind a shield, displaying American strength and pride. The obverse is based on the historic design by Adolph A. Weinman's "Walking Liberty" silver Half Dollar minted from 1916 to 1947, an immensely popular design amongst modern U.S. coinage. Along with the design, a big reason for the popularity of Silver Eagles comes from the fact that the coins are required by law to be minted from silver mined right here in the U.S. The American Eagle Silver Dollar in this set is in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition. [American Silver Eagle Type 2] American Silver Eagle Type 2: In honor of the 35th Anniversary of the American Silver Eagle, the U.S. Mint made the first ever change to the reverse design of this 99.9% fine silver coin midway through 2021-changing from the Heraldic Eagle, known as the T1 design-to the Eagle Landing design by artist Emily S. Damstra, known as the T2 design. The impactful new design depicts a bald eagle mid-landing, with wings spread and talons firmly gripping an oak branch. The obverse on these stunning, eye-appealing coins remains Weinman's full-length figure of Lady Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag. The American Eagle Silver Dollar in this set is in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition. Putting this Set Together Would Take You Many Hours and Cost You More You know it's true.
