There are lots of different kinds of volatility. And the volatility of the Barclays IPath Short Term VIX futures ETN (Ticker: VXX) options, the implied volatility, is getting killed. How do I know, well I own some puts. What is a big surprise is that this vol crushing is coming prior to the FOMC giving some rate talk. Traders are selling options aggressively before the number. [ded] You could call this a risk on trade. The option liquidity provider is taking down the IV very fast today, signaling they donât expect much to happen this week on the upside for volatility and VXX in particular.= All signs are pointing to a lower VXX number next week. - AG  [logo, pit profits] Want to find YOUR winning fit? I always give you a new trade idea and I always go back to review the trade idea in my previous writeup. Those of you not reading all the way through are missing out! On Wednesday, I told you there was a Harami candle in the Van Eck Gold Miners ETF (Ticker: GDX). This candle signals a change in trend and sure enough GDX traded up  two bucks. I told you to buy the Sep20, 2024 37.50 calls, which were right around $.72, and that they would double. Well the high on those calls yesterday was $2.19. That is 195% profit if you paid $.74 for the calls. Not only did the stock trade higher but the implied volatility popped meaning there is demand. On Wednesday the IV of those calls was 33.30 and yesterday they closed over a 35 IV. Where is GDX going from here? Well letâs take a look at Gold Futures: FPIP Look at how well that support has held going back to June 26th. Yesterday it closed just over the next level of resistance and is looking bullish from here. If you keep reading, I will give you my new trade idea in GDX. - Licia --------------------------------------------------------------- Join Licia's trading community and start receiving her Profits In Pumps Newsletter. [Click this link to sign up!](  [frep, frep header, header, logo] Big Flow Friday Is Live!
