{NAME}, “When I go to school, I see some of my [classmates] on the way. They mock me, calling me ‘Christian.’ Sometimes they throw bricks at me and push me, but I still go to school.”—Moryom in Bangladesh These words from Moryom (pictured, left) are hard to hear. They’re even more difficult knowing they come from a 9-year-old girl. I wish I could tell you that Moryom’s experience is unusual. But the reality is that every day, millions of children throughout the world encounter situations like this because they and their families are Christians. They are the littlest—and most vulnerable—voices of persecution. As God’s people who are called to care for the most vulnerable, we have a responsibility to pray for young believers like Moryom—especially as they approach the holidays. Christmas can be a time when children are particularly vulnerable and can feel especially isolated from their communities. That’s why we’re sharing 20 prayers for persecuted children and their families: [How to pray for persecuted families]( We hope you’ll commit to praying with us each day and inviting others to pray these prayers with you. Throughout the world, children are at risk for their faith —and they are also the future of the Church. Persecutors, especially extremist groups, know that if they can damage families and their children, they can destroy the next generation.
