The fighting=C2=A0has taken its toll; many thous= ands of civilians have been killed in both Hamas' initial, horrific attacks= on Israel and in Israel's subsequent campaign in Gaza.=C2=A0 =C2=A0 But the war has also deeply impacted the Palestinian Ch= ristian community. In his book, Light Force (written with Al Janss= en), Open Doors=E2=80=99 founder Brother Andrew has some words that=C2=A0se= em prophetic for the current time: =C2=A0 =E2=80=9CThe unending conflict sickened me,= but what hurt even more was knowing that my brothers and sisters were caug= ht in the midst of the fighting. Believers in Jesus Christ lived i= n Israel, the West Bank and Gaza. =E2=80=A6 I was convinced that there was = a contribution that the Christian community could make.
