Our pick of the irish bars, why kids clubs are the best and our pick of paradise... The Extra Scoop!

Our pick of the irish bars, why kids clubs are the best and our pick of paradise... [Everything's better On the Beach]( The Extra Scoop! Dropping in your inbox on Thursdays! [The Extra Scoop]( [The Extra Scoop]( Hello, you. Oops, sorry. We didn’t mean to go all Joe Goldberg on you. You know, from the hit Netflix show - ‘You’. We’re just still thinking about the fact that the lead actor, Penn Badgley, name-dropped us on the radio (check out our reaction on insta!). Okay fine, so maybe it was because he forgot the names of the actual Magic Radio hosts, but a win is a win. So, in true ‘You’ fashion, stick your incognito baseball cap on and get a load of this week’s Scoop. [Your secret admirer] [Paradise at the Paradisus]( [Paradise at the Paradisus]( As a kid, I loved a hotel with a mahoosive pool. Just offers the chance for loads of fun - lets the imagination run wild, and that. Well, Paradisus Salinas Lanzarote has 1800m2 of pool. That’s enough to fit over 5000 inflatable unicorns, to you and me. Probably. That means unlimited headstands, lilo-surfing, bombing in (only when the lifeguard isn’t looking, obviously). All that good stuff. [Sun, sea and Salinas this way >]( [Sun, sea and Salinas this way >]( [The look of the Irish bar]( [The look of the Irish bar]( Irish bars are a holiday staple. Why? Well, pull up a chair. Cheap drinks, regular live music and a buzzing atmosphere, for starters. And if you find the right one at the right time, you might even get to catch a bit of football on the box. Especially if you head to The Irish Anchor in Costa Adeje, according to Karina, our Hotel Contract Manager for the Canaries. You can get a Guinness there for €3, apparently. She lives out there, so she kinda knows her stuff. Plus, Tenerife is HOT right now, and full of Irish bars, so why not celebrate St Patrick’s Day the right way? With a pint, in the Canaries. [This way for the craic >]( [This way for the craic >]( [Levelled up luxury]( [Levelled up luxury]( My dad always does a lap of the resort on holiday. Scouts the area. Gets his bearings. Normally, he’d come back claiming that he’d sussed out the local bar and the place we were eating at for dinner. In a hotel like the Centara Mirage Dubai, though, he wouldn’t even need to bother. Everything’s on site. Five restaurants. Multiple bars. Waterpark and lazy river. Sorted. Sorry Dad. [Find your bearings >]( [Find your bearings >]( [The best thing about kids club is...]( [The best thing about kids club is...]( Kids’ clubs. Great for the little cherubs, and you. Here are 3 things to look out for when choosing the right one: #1 Facilities. If you’ve got a tween who’s more into video games than scavenger hunts, check the kids’ club is one that’s actually going to keep them entertained. #2 Age restrictions. Some kids’ clubs are specially designed to cater for babies, while others go right up to tech-obsessed teens, so make sure you choose one that fits your fam. #3 Opening times. Kids’ clubs can be open all day or just for a few hours, so if you fancy a quiet meal for two, pick one that runs a bit later. Most will offer snacks and kid-friendly meals, too. Winner winner, chicken nugget dinner. [Keep it kid-friendly >]( [Keep it kid-friendly >]( [Peter's Big Birthday Bash in Dubai]( [Peter's Big Birthday Bash in Dubai]( We recently recruited Peter Andre as our Head of Summer Holidays. What does that involve? Well, apart from performing Mysterious Girl at OTB towers whenever we request it, mainly our Pete’s here to do some good ol’ holiday research, starting with Dubai. He headed out there with the fam, so we asked him to get blogging and give us the lowdown on his trip. He even celebrated his birthday out there, so we made sure to give him a big beachy surprise from us. Cheers Pete!
