I'm looking into intel gathering that Saudi Arabia has substantially reduced both late May/early June volume and prices moving into the Asian market, allowing some intentional leverage for additional Russian trade into the continent. This is providing some supporting evidence to a point I have been making for a few weeks: The two main OPEC+ producers have worked out an Asian-European market access "side deal" that allowed for the breakthrough production cut accord. 2. Right now, I'm examining information arising from my network of contacts among large private investors on the first phase of new investment priorities in the post COVID-19 (coronavirus) energy sector. 3. I'm analyzing conflicting data arising from historically large differences between the two primary oil benchmarks, WTI and Brent. The spread favoring Brent over WTI reached an unparalleled 35.4% of the difference divided by WTI (the more accurate way of measuring it) on Friday and 28.2% on average for the past nine trading sessions. This is pointing to a developing perception among traders of oil futures contracts that the US market oil pricing picture continues to crater.
