The company announced on Mondaynew policies that formalise what is viewable on the platform. They come as regulator pressure grows for platforms around the world to prevent children from accessing inappropriate content on social media. Historically X, previously Twitter, has not prevented people posting adult content on the platform. Sexworkers who use subscription services such as OnlyFans have used X to promote their work for years. Users who post adult content, including nudity and implied or explicit sexual acts, have nowbeen asked by X to adjust media settings so that their images and videos are put behind a content warning before they can be viewed. Users under 18 or those who do not put a birthdate in their profile will be unable to view this content. X indicated it would detect what users were posting, stating that if users do not mark pornographic posts appropriately then âwe will adjust your account settings foryouâ. Similar rules have been put in place for violent content including violent speech or media, including that which threatens, incites, glorifies or expresses desire for violence or harm. Teenagers have reported seeing pornographic material more on X than on adult sites. Research from the UK childrenâs commissioner in January 2023 found that 41of teenagers aged between 16 and 18 reported seeing pornography on X, versus 3 for dedicated adult sites. Last week Australiaâs online safety regulator, Julie Inman Grant, claimed Apple and Google had financialmotives for keeping both X and Reddit on their app stores despite hosting adult content â which she claimed was in violation of both app store policies. âThereâs a huge disincentive right nowfor the app stores to actually follow their own [policies],â she said. âTheycollect a 30 tithe from every transaction that happens on a social media site ⦠Think about the force multiplier of deplatforming an app and what that would mean to their revenue.â Under Appleâs developer guidelines, apps with user-generated, primarily pornographic content may be removed but apps with user-generated adult content hiddenby default may still be displayed. Xâs newpolicy would keep it in line with Appleâs guidelines. X is also embroiled in a legalbattle against the Australian eSafety commissioner over violent content â 65 tweets of a video of the stabbing attack of a Sydney bishop in April, which eSafety has ordered X toremove. The case will be heard in the federal court at the end of June. X has made the tweets unavailable to users accessing the site in Australia but eSafety has argued in recent court filings that X should also prevent Australian users accessing the tweets via a virtual private network Shortly after touching down in the South of France on Friday, the star was spotted leaving the legendary Hôtel Martinez in a custom Oscar de la Renta gown. The figure-hugging navy-blue dress featured a sultry off-the-shoulder fit combined with a plunging neckline made of black ruffled fabric. Gomez completed the classy ensemble with a selection of sparkling diamond rings, black pointed-toe pumps from Santoni, and a teeny-tiny black patent leather handbag to match. Gomez brought the glamour to her beauty routine, too, wearing a pink blush, dewy highlight, and the ultimate French-girl touch: a swipe of bold red lipstick. She styled her shoulder-length black hair parted down the middle in bombshell waves with curtain fringe, and topped off her look with a radiant smile. Earlier in the day, the Only Murders in the Building star went shopping on the Rue dâAntibes in an equally chic look. In photos taken outside the Mango store, Gomez channeled classic Riviera style in a white knit minidress from Self-Portrait that included a row of gold buttons, a peplum waist, and a pleated skirt. On the accessories front, she wore a pair of black and white Roger Vivier slingback pumps, circular hammered-gold earrings, and retro white-rimmed sunglasses. The star also carried a white woven top-handle bag and wore her hair slicked back into a neat bun. If her last two looks are anything to go by, Gomez will have plenty more head-turning moments during her time in Cannes. 8588745276107975939592859699cbofh3opm72mz/lzashhcsmrghcaaaacusrm:79998frs9999999hsbmornlqjtfkobvsxua3/vuzmp-hwo 8588745276107975939592859699cbofh3opm72mz/lzashhcsmrghcaaaaarzsg:79998frs9999999hsbmornlqjtfkobvsxua3/dpaj-hwo [Visit Website](8588745276107975939592859699cbofh3opm72mz/lzashhcsmrghcaaaacusrm:79998frs9999999hsbmornlqjtfkobvsxua3/vuzmp-hwo)[Unsubscribe](8588745276107975939592859699cbofh3opm72mz/lzashhcsmrghcaaaaarzsg:79998frs9999999hsbmornlqjtfkobvsxua3/dpaj-hwo)[Manage Your Email Preferences](8588745276107975939592859699cbofh3opm72mz/lzashhcsmrghcaaaahlmra:79998frs9999999hsbmornlqjtfkobvsxua3/vmh-hwo)
