New York Film Academy The 20/20 Series is a pop-up event that takes us into the homes, hubs and workspaces of an array of dynamic creative visionaries to allow for relaxed, engaging conversations on craft, creation and artistic vision.
Each conversation with a creative visionary features 20 minutes of discussion with a moderator and a 20 minute Q&A from YOU, the audience.

[Amber Sealey]() Amber Sealey is an award-winning filmmaker currently in post-production on the Disney / Participant / Big Beach feature film Out of My Mind, based on the best-selling YA novel. She is also slated to direct the film Russ & Roger Go Beyond (STX / Lionsgate / Sobini / Permut Pictures) about Russ Meyer and Roger Ebert. Her feature No Man of God (SpectreVision / Company X / XYZ Films / RLJ Entertainment), starring Elijah Wood and Luke Kirby, was theatrically released in 2021 to rave reviews. She has been supported by Sundance, Film Independent, and Women In Film, is a fellow of the AFI Directing Workshop for Women and has written scripts for Duplass Brothers/Donut Productions. She was selected for Ryan Murphyâs Half Initiative, the NBCUniversal Directors Initiative, the WeForShe DirectHer program, Film Independentâs Directing Lab, and their Fast Track program. Her short film, How Does It Start, world premiered at Sundance and (among other awards) won Best Narrative Short at Sarasota FF, and is being turned into a feature film with Vanishing Angle producing. Her feature No Light & No Land Anywhere was theatrically released by Factory 25 and won a Special Jury Award at the LA Film Festival. Her second feature, How to Cheat, won Best Performance at LAFF, and won both Best Narrative and Best Acting at BendFilm. Her first film, A Plus D, was released by IndiePix. Amber has a BA in Theatre Arts and Modern Dance from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an MA from The Central School of Speech and Drama in London. She studied Shakespeare at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. She lives in Los Angeles with her family. [Liz Hinlein]() Liz Hinlein is an accomplished visual artist, DGA director, and creative director with a vast portfolio of critically acclaimed work across film, commercials, and immersive media. Her debut narrative feature, Other People's Children, premiered at the Director's Guild of America and garnered high praise from Variety as "an intriguing debut." The film received multiple film festival honors, including the prestigious Panavision New Filmmakers Grant, and is currently available for viewing on Apple Tv+ and Amazon Prime. Liz's short films have been screened globally at renowned festivals such as the Berlin Film Festival, Slamdance, and The Hamptons Film Festival. In the immersive space, her documentary VR experience, OSAGE â85, is currently supported by the Venice Biennale. Liz's work in the VR/AR space has earned recognition from clients such as the NFL, Walmart, Accenture, and Byton Auto, with her Accenture project winning Best VR Branded Content at CES. As a sought-after director for high-profile commercials, branding videos, and music videos, Liz has worked with a diverse range of brands and artists, including Castrol Oil, Dove, Lifetime, Revlon, Gillette, Maybelline, A&E, Wella, NARS Cosmetics, Bare Minerals, Clairol, and MAC Cosmetics. She has also creatively directed and photographed projects for renowned artists such as Mary J. Blige, Britney Spears, Quincy Jones, Incubus, and Fishbone. Liz is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts and holds an MFA in Cinematography from The American Film Institute. She is also the Creative Director of Film and Cinematography at the New York Film Academy, where she created and hosts the popular Zoom talk show series The 20/20 Online Series, which amassed over 1.5 million followers. Currently, Liz is in pre-production on OSAGE â85, which will premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
