Brett Crozier as commander of the coronavirus-stricken nuclear aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly boarded the warship docked in Guam and delivered a stinging, profanity-laced denunciation of its deposed skipper. [Modly has since apologized](. Australian Cardinal George Pell has been released from prison after a court overturned his conviction of sexually assaulting two choir boys in the 1990s. The 78-year-old had served 13 months of his six-year sentence.
