{NAME}, Fall is flying by. The days are shorter, the air more brisk, and the leaves mostly on the ground. Thanksgiving (a major holiday here in the U.S.) is only two weeks away! Christmas is fast approaching! 2023 seems to be racing by at a speed I don't love. Maybe it's just me but I feel like 2023 was the quickest year in a long time. I'm spending the remainder of the year in NYC. As I've mentioned before, I really want to focus on my health, fitness, habits, and exploring the city. I was thinking about planning a trip but I'm finally in a good groove here and I don't want to change that. I’ve been exploring NYC through a lot of Airbnb Experiences lately. [While I have my issues with the platform](=), I think Experiences are one of the best things to do. They’ve become my new favorite way to explore destinations. You get unique experiences run by passionate locals who can share inside info on where you are. They aren't always great (the guy on my photowalk immediately launched into a rant about how the Heinz family was trying to kill him) but, for the most part, I've been finding it a fun way to learn about the different voices in the city. Three favorites have been a [Brooklyn pizza tasting](=), [a traditional tea tasting](), and [an African-American history tour of Lower Manhattan](). Another perk is that since the tours are run by locals and not big companies, you can usually find them in more places, especially in smaller, more remote cities. If you're looking for things to do in your area, see if there's an Airbnb Experience around. COMMUNITY UPDATES 1. READY TO LEVEL UP YOUR TRAVEL HACKING SKILLS? On November 15th, we're hosting a [Travel Hacking 102 webinar]() for those who want to boost their points & miles skills. The webinar will cover more intermediate tips and tricks, picking up where our 101 webinar left off. The event is $5 and [you can sign up here](). (We'll send out a recording after the event if you can't make it.) 2. JOIN ME ON INSTAGRAM! It seeks to find out what happened to Percy Fawcett, an explorer who trekked through the Amazon jungle in search of the fabled lost city of Z. I learned a lot about the region and history of the cultures that inhabited the land long before Westerners arrived. [Get it on Bookshop]() | [Get it on Amazon]( NEW BLOG POSTS [My Holiday Gift Guide for Travelers](=) = Looking to get something for the traveler in your life this holiday season? A dull ache that—try as you might to think it away, to convince yourself that she really wasn’t the right country for you—just won’t leave you in peace." - Eric Weiner *** As always, if you have any questions, reply to this email. I'll be happy to help. Sincerely, Nomadic Matt P.S. - Booking a trip soon?
