{NAME}, this MAGA-fanatic has a frightening background of extremism. {NAME}, It is official, the dysfunctional Republican Party has finally settled on a candidate for Speaker: Steve Scalise.  While we do not know yet if he has the votes to get the gavel, what we do know is that Rep. Scalise is a threat to the livelihood of all Americans.  Scalise’s record is almost identical (and just as abysmal) to his partner in crime, the deposed former Speaker Kevin McCarthy. As Speaker of the House, Scalise will simply fall in line with the MAGA agenda as he has done time and time again. Scalise failed to defend democracy and to this day denies the results of the 2020 election. We cannot afford another Speaker who lies to the American people, and serve as a rubber stamp for Donald Trump’s agenda.  As hard as it is to believe, and trust us it is hard, a Steve Scalise speakership would be even worse than Kevin McCarthy’s. How would minority Americans feel if the leader of the “People’s House” is a man who once said he was like former Grand Wizard of the Klu Klux Klan David Duke, but “without the baggage”... Can we afford to have someone leading the House of Representatives who compares himself to such hateful individuals?  This is why our mission is so critical. [With your support we can continue to help elect Democrats across the country, and return decency and respect for all Americans to the Speakership.
