their messaging is basic psychology, but it works in a nefarious way. Failed MAGA Prophecies  {NAME}, Ever wonder how the MAGA crowd constantly gets conned into believing the next "big lie" from Trump and the GOP?  It's basic psychology, but it works in a nefarious way. 1.) The burden of proof constantly shifts Example: Trump began his 2020 Big Lie trend by stating that if he lost, it would be "because of fraud." He primed his base to already believe that the system was set up "against him." Recall that at the same time in this country, in some areas, his supporters were chanting "stop the count" while others were calling for "count every vote" and recounts So when Trump lost, it was because there were too many "fraudulent votes" and the system was somehow rigged not to count the other votes. 2.) Evidence to the contrary The evidence against Trump is somehow spun into a "gotcha." The documents case is a good example of this as it was originally stated he "had no documents," then it devolved into his "ability" to declassify whatever he wanted. The GOP has also blamed the FBI and claimed that the documents were "planted." The obviously broken law was the possession of the documents, but the MAGA GOP is now framing it as a casual mishap, some classic "whataboutism," AND a plot against Trump. The fact that we now know he had the documents is the "proof" that it was a "targeted attack" on Trump (or a "raid," as they've described it.) 3.) Blissful Ignorance Finally, their more infuriating tactic is that of simply denying and ignoring the truth. Stating "fake news" when prompted with facts or refuting any evidence with clearly biased "proof" from sites like Fox News and Breitbart. It can feel like numbers and raw data don't matter to them because they aren't accepting them as "real." The same applies to Trump's crimes; when polled, even recently, his base has claimed he didn't do anything wrong.  The burning question is: which members of the MAGA GOP are aware of the charade that their side is operating? How many of them are fully aware of the lies that they are selling for political gain and retaining power?  [These people are making our laws. They are selling nothing more than a grift while clutching power close to their hearts. We can fight back, but we need your help.
