They didn't want me to hear this... [continue reading] {NAME}, as I was preparing dinner for my kids Monday night (which with a two-year-old and four-year-old typically starts as trying to make a full meal and ends with nuggets in the air fryer) my cell began to ring. I answered. "Click (1) to join a call with Governor DeSantis and the First Lady of Florida..." I was so confused, but this was part of the job, so I joined the call. What came next caught me off guard...the resources that Ron DeSantis has are very real. He is taking an exact page from the Bush playbook, and all of the billions that come with it. DeSantis, as a speculated candidate for 2024, is going on tour across the country. On the heels of releasing a book, and also keeping the Republican party on the edge of their seats waiting for an announcement, he will be visiting the states of Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, and others. Let's be clear: this is to fundraise, and it is a big threat. Regardless of who is chosen as the GOP nominee for President, they are going to be doing a LOT of fundraising. They have large corporations and big businesses that heavily support them because they know they will pass laws and cut regulations to benefit their profits. And as a MAGA proxy, we know that DeSantis will follow in similar policy footsteps as Donald Trump. He will attempt to sell himself as the American dream and have people who he opposes with policy believe in him and that he may offer something "different." We saw exactly what that looked like under Donald Trump...it ended in an attempted coup. To prepare for the 2024 campaigning season, we have to start preparing NOW. The GOP will not wait for us to get organized...they have already started to make plans and find the biggest donors possible to elevate their candidates. This is why our grassroots movement and support are so critical. There is no downtime in between elections - we have to stay prepared. [Can you chip in today and help us get the push we need to carry on into the fight for rural and working-class America?]( [Chip in $20.24 →]( [Chip in $50 →]( [Chip in $100 →]( [Chip in other amount →]( {NAME}, 2024 seems far off from where we are now, but it will be here faster than we know. We have to organize, get the word out, and support on-the-ground work to get ready for a tough fight to keep the White House and Congress. Thank you for joining us in the mission. - Hassan Martini Executive Director No Dem Left Behind Paid for by No Dem Left Behind PAC. Not authorized by any federal candidate or candidate's committee.
