These individuals, under the guise of faith, have resorted to violence, attacking fellow Americans, causing harm to law enforcement officers, and even threatening elected officials.  Christian nationalists have been instrumental in pushing forward regressive agendas, such as the anti-abortion movement, which seeks to dismantle crucial rights like those protected by Roe v. Wade. Their influence, especially within the Supreme Court, poses a significant threat to reproductive freedom, disregarding even cases of rape and incest.  Beyond social issues, Christian nationalists are now targeting the very foundations of our democracy. They're attacking our education system and attempting to distort the founding principles of our nation, particularly those that uphold freedom of religion.  It's crucial to recognize that this is not merely a religious issue; it's a threat to our democracy and the values we hold dear. Regardless of religious beliefs, we can all agree on the importance of compassion and empathy, as epitomized by the principle of "love thy neighbor."  Christian nationalism is a dangerous distortion of faith, used to consolidate power and promote self-interest. We cannot allow it to continue unchecked.
