[Niume]( Newsletter [Niume Top Tips - How to create an engaging blog post]( [Niume Top Tips - How to create an engaging blog post]( Happy Friday Niumers! Trying to produce regular quality posts for your audience can at times be a bit of a trial, especially if you are short of time or are suffering from a bout of writer’s block! However, sharing interesting and useful statistics, consumer experiences, reviews and how to videos or simple information can be great ways to engage with your audience. The following should give you a few ideas that will help to create value add content even when the words aren’t full flowing! 1. Numbered titles / Lists The ten most unusual…… 5 must haves…. Everyday life hacks…. The most anticipated…. 83% of ……………. Who doesn’t love a list eh! (just like this one). Value add content will grab your readers attention and won’t take you as much time to create as standard posts. 2. Experiences / ‘This is what’ titles If you are a travel blogger, these are integral to allow your audience be part of your journey. It could also inspire them to dip their toe into some globe-trotting too. People love to see high quality images of fascinating places, so be sure to include lots of them in your post. 3. How to articles If you are a keen DIY-er or love restoring old classic cars then why not share your knowledge. You could create a series of these that you can dip back into as and when. Who doesn’t enjoy eating great food? If this is your passion, then you could share some of your own personal cooking tips and even add a video of you making your favourite recipe. 4. Question articles / Do you remember…. People are naturally curious but need to be inspired by the right level of questioning. If you pose questions that are too difficult you will lose your audience’s attention very quickly. Why not take your readers on a trip down memory lane? Nostalgic times, events, and products will always strike a chord. 5. Offer deeper knowledge Perhaps you write about a very specific niche. Aim to be the leading voice of your point of expertise. Research and keep up to date with all the latest happenings in your field. Also, if you are writing about something that you consider to be fascinating but is perhaps very niche, a good approach is to write about what makes that subject incredible and why more people should know about it. 5. Creativity inspires If writing is not your thing but you have a creative flair, why not share your work? You never know who you may inspire and you may also gain recognition for your talents. Be sure to include high quality images in the body of your post and not just in the header! Also, consider driving your viewers through the process of creation you undertook to develop your art, photography or whatever it may be. You will build a connection with your audience and come across as much more accessible! To ensure that your hard work can be seen by as many people as possible, make sure to share it on your chosen social media channels after it has been published, as blogging and social media naturally complement one another. The trick is to use a blog to enrich your social media with long-form posts, and to use social media to promote your blog. Finally, be sure to follow all of Niume’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and our Twitter accounts for the spheres you post in), as you may just be the creator of the next post featured on one of the channels! And we’re sure you wouldn’t want to miss out on seeing that. We hope you found this post useful.
