Firstly, we would like to welcome all the new creators to the platform and secondly show our appreciation to the established Niume community who have been consistently posting content to the platform since day one. Your time, effort and passion are the heart and soul of Niume. Therefore, we would like to remind you of our general content guidelines as they are integral to helping you reach your target audience so you can gain the maximum number of viewers, shares and reads. This is important for content creators, as posts that do not follow the guidelines may be unpublished. Post Content Posts must include a minimum of 5 lines of text, although there are exceptions. We appreciate Photography and Art work images may not include large amounts of text, so we are happy to allow posts with less information there. In any case, for art pieces, including the materials, paints and mediums used to create the piece will help your piece receive more visibility. For photography, details of location, photography equipment used and inspiration for the photo will entice readers to learn more about your work. Spheres Your post must be relevant to the sphere you are posting it in. Please think carefully about where you place your content. (You wouldn’t expect to see a music post in the news section!). Content placed in the wrong Sphere may lose out on potential readers. Media Your post should contain at least one form of media (image or video). If you are posting an image of an art piece of photography work, please make sure to add the picture in the body of the post and not just in the header. Header Images Posts should include a clear header image of a high resolution. We recommend a picture with a minimum size of 1000 x 350 pixels as this looks good on most screens. Commercial Content Your post should not be of a commercial nature (i.e. directly asking our users to buy or use a product or service) you are free to add links to your website/store on your profile page, but not make a direct reference to it on posts. Posts should be written in full and not link to another page where the remainder of the post can be viewed. Offensive Content Your post shouldn’t be of a derogatory or offensive nature, or contain nudity. There are exceptions for artistic work and photography Language We appreciate that Niume has an international readership, but for now we only allow posts that are written in English. Blogspam When reposting from other blogs try to post the entire content. You should quote your sources but clickbait is not allowed. If the content you are posting isn’t yours make sure to add a reference to the original source. We hope this is helpful!
