Over the years, Google has penalized a lot of websites and small publishers. But now it's Google's turn to get penalized. The US Department of Justice recently ruled that Google was a monopoly and this week they issued a statement with potential actions they will take to "penalize" Google for its monopolistic behavior. These potential actions include breaking off the Google Chrome and Android businesses from Google. The DOJ could also require Google to share all its data and search algorithms with other search engines.
