Over the last few months, Google has been asking for feedback from publishers. Then they released the Google core update which actually caused some small publishers to start recovering from the Helpful Content Update. Now Danny Sullivan, the official Google Search liaison, has done a very in-depth interview and it provides some interesting breadcrumbs that make it sound like Google is actually listening to small publishers. In today's podcast, Jared and Morgan sit down and discuss what Danny said in the interview, how it appears Google is thinking about small publishers, and much more. [Watch today's episode of This Week in Niche Pursuits News right here.](=) = However, the news doesn't stop there... Just yesterday, OpenAI announced a new AI model called "Strawberry"...and in other related AI news, Mediavine says they will ban sites that use AI from using their ad platform. Wow! Jared and Morgan dive into these subjects and much more. And be sure to stick around for their side hustle updates and a couple of weird niche sites. [Go ahead and check out today's full episode right here.]( --------------------------------------------------------------- It's Okay to Use AI...for certain things... Using AI to write articles would be considered "grey" hat by some people. And as mentioned in the news story above, Mediavine is no longer willing to accept websites that have content written primarily by AI. However, there are ways to use AI that I think everyone can get behind. One of those ways is to use AI to help you organize and manage your internal links. What if AI could tell you what internal links you are missing? What if it could give you a visual map of your content clusters and tell you where the best internal link opportunities are? Well, we are very close to that with Link Whisper! I've been beta testing a new version of Link Whisper that produces visual sitemaps of content clusters like the one below: This AI feature automatically finds related articles on your site and builds this cluster for you! The next step will then be to show you which internal links you already have and which ones you are missing! To be clear, I'm testing this feature now...so it won't be available to the public for a couple of weeks. However, I wanted to give you a heads up on some cool features we are working on for Link Whisper! All existing and new customers will get all the new AI features automatically. If you don't currently own Link Whisper, maybe now is a great time to go get your copy. When I release these AI features, it very possible that we will raise prices. However, if you buy now, your price is locked in (and you get the new AI features when they are released). If you decide to buy today, you can [get $15 off at checkout with this special link right here.]() That link will take $15 off when you go to the checkout page. You can start using the great features of Link Whisper today, which is already a huge timesaver. But as soon as we release the AI visual sitemaps (and other features), you'll get those for free. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
