Let’s talk about a particular brand of madness that is rampant in the online entrepreneurship space: Going on business as usual when faced with failure. Thing is: Failure is feedback. Doing something that doesn’t work harder is still not going to make it work. If you’re driving your car in the wrong direction, driving faster is not going to help you. Driving for longer is not going to help you either. The only thing that’s going to help is to change your direction. If you’ve launched an offer, and got zero sales. Or not enough sales. Change something. If you’re creating content consistently and not making sales. Change something. If you have a certain thought pattern and it’s making you feel like shit day in and day out. Change something. Question is: Do you know why your strategy isn’t not working? Do you have the knowledge, experience, and perspective to diagnose the problem? Do you know what the difference-making change should be? And how to execute it to get RESULTS this time around? If yes, get on with it. If not, get support. I learnt this lesson the hard way: Doing the same ole’ for years. Doing it harder, faster, and for longer... Hoping that something would change. As a result, I struggled more than I needed to. I prolonged my success for longer than was necessary. But that’s not even the biggest danger: There is a grave emotional cost to putting in sweat equity... and not getting results. It breaks your spirit. It eats away at your confidence. It’s agonizing. Heart wrenching, even. Every failure HURTS. Yes, falling short of your goals is a natural part of the business growth process. But for the love of your sanity, STOP romanticizing it. Failure can be used for good when it happens. As feedback to do something differently. It should not be glorified. And romanticized. And made cool. Let’s normalize succeeding beyond your wildest dreams. And doing it without having to bleed for it first. Without having to earn your stripes on some imaginary battlefront. Business is a game. One that you can learn to play. And play to WIN. Not a battle. If you’re over failed launches Over content that falls flat Over conversations that don’t close into sales Over investments in cookie cutter programs that don’t work Reply to this email -- let’s talk about how I can help. ~Nelliane P.S.
