I’m not embarrassed to share this with you, but the memory of it still pisses me off. Especiall

I’m not embarrassed to share this with you, but the memory of it still pisses me off. Especially as I see people pulling the same con to this very day. Perhaps you can learn something from my mistake. Here’s what happened: A year or two into my online business journey... I wanted more of that “freedom, profit, and impact” thing the big-time entrepreneurs were talking about. (that was the HOT messaging back then) So I invested in this group coaching program by this girl who seemed like she was the real deal. Long story short, "Mrs Big-Time" made a fool out of me. Her program was nothing but an overpriced course with weekly Q&A sessions. There was no coaching. None of the intimate support I really needed and thought I was getting. Craziest part? She was not even the one doing the Q&A sessions << a wee little detail she forgot to put in her marketing material. So I was out of 6K. In my local currency that’s $16,215.30 (I’m Caribbean, btw). Now: Me being a liberal spender... Still needing help to grow my business… And taking responsibility for my poor choice… Invested in another coaching program. (I know, cut me some slack. I was desperate.) While this one was exponentially better than the first in terms of the content and expertise shared… I found myself in the same hole: Having paid $5000 ($13,512.75 EC dollars) for a course with weekly Q&A sessions disguised as “group coaching calls.” That’s the last time I made that mistake. Albeit, it to took me two bouts of stupid to get it, but alas I did. Yay for growth, right? Anyhoo, here’s the lesson for you: Lesson #1: If you’re an expert in your field and you’re delivering top-touch service, but you’re afraid to charge top dollar… Because your social media following is small Because you haven’t been featured in Forbes Because you haven’t been doing this for long Because *insert any other reason you’re selling yourself short* There are people who have all these things pulling a very profitable con. And people like me… who’ve fallen for it and now have the gift of hindsight... making smarter decisions with their money. If you were to just step up... Raise your standards Raise your prices And OWN YOUR VALUE to the marketplace, you’d capture these dollars in a heartbeat. Lesson #2: Don’t be stupid like I was back then. Be careful when investing in these oh-so-seductive group coaching programs. A lot of them are overpriced courses. Being pushed by cold-hearted frauds who will take your money without a care in the world. All while telling you how easy it is to manifest the good life. Now it goes without saying but I’ll say it: there are many coaches with massive brand recognition changing lives. You just have to do your due diligence. That’s all I got for you, today. With care, Nelliane P.S. If you’re not yet in Content Sales Machine, whaddya waiting for?!
