Let’s talk about the new “it girl” >> Clubhouse. What is it? An audio-based social platform where you “host a room” for a particular topic. Others can enter your room, listen in on the ongoing conversation and contribute if they’re given that permission by the moderator of said room. Now: Due to the clever invite-only marketing ploy, clubhouse has managed to unleash a psychological minefield of persuasion… Causing every digital entrepreneur trying to cash in on that early-mover’s advantage to want in. As for me? I’m on the platform, but it won’t be getting any more of my time and attention (besides the occasional eavesdrop). Why? For the same reason I don’t do Tiktok or Youtube. The pen (or should I say keyboard) is my instrument. Any platform that doesn’t allow me to deploy my writing skills easily and quickly is a shitty use of my time. So question is: Should you give it a go? It depends. If you’re doing it just to hop on the trend... I’d encourage you to be more intentional about the social platforms you give your precious time to. Who I think it’s PERFECT for: 1. Someone who’s always wanted to get in on the podcast action but doesn’t want the hassle of actually producing a podcast. 2. Someone who’s comfortable using their voice I think this is definitely a platform with staying power. And lots of audience-building potential... Not for the bandwagonists who jump on trends with no rhyme or reason. Not for others like me whose personal unfair advantage is better leveraged elsewhere. But for the person who’s best suited to the audio-only user experience. Thoughts? Hit reply! ~Nelliane [Unsubscribe]( | [Update your profile]( | Citrus Grove, Laborie, Vieux Fort, LC 1201
