Essential dialogue on hate and unity with leading experts. [View as Webpage]( [National Education Association]( [EdJustice]( {NAME}, Most of us believe that all people, no matter their religion, the language they speak, or their place of birth, have a fundamental right to live with freedom, safety, and a sense of belonging—even though some seek to divide us based on these differences. Amid the ongoing war in Gaza, there has been a drastic spike in antisemitic and Islamophobic incidents. Jewish, Muslim, and Arab communities feel threatened, marginalized, and under siege. Many feel uncomfortable speaking up due to fear of retaliation or censorship. It’s crucial for all of us to come together, engage in hard conversations, and create inclusive and welcoming communities. In light of these challenges, we are inviting you to an important and timely webinar: [Leaning into Hard Conversations: Why We Must Discuss Anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and Racism to Maintain Our Multicultural Communities, tonight, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. ET.]( [REGISTER FOR OUR WEBINAR ➤]( We are committed to learning and working together to build the welcoming communities that promote inclusivity and resist hate that our students deserve. In our webinar, you’ll hear from Wajahat Ali, a Senior Fellow at the Western States Center and author, Amy Spitalnick, the CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs and leader in the fight against white supremacy, and Eric Ward, executive vice president of Race Forward and expert on authoritarian movements. They bring extensive experience in combating hate groups and fostering diverse coalitions. They will delve into the intersections of antisemitism, Islamophobia, and racism, and share how we can engage respectfully and effectively. During this webinar, we will: - Explore the roots and impact of antisemitism, Islamophobia, and racism. - Discuss how recent anti-war protests reveal cultural and political fault lines. - Share strategies to confront and overcome hate, promoting a shared commitment to a multicultural and democratic society. By reflecting on our past and uniting in our efforts, we can continue to make our communities places where everyone feels safe and can thrive. [SAVE YOUR SPOT! ➤]( Thank you for your commitment to rejecting division and your shared commitment to building a more inclusive and understanding community. We look forward to seeing you!
