To this day, the 1911A1 is still in service with some Special Forces units of the Army, Navy and the Marine Corps.  [READ MORE](

[Colt's legendary Cobra has been updated for reissue]( [Share on Facebook]( on Twitter]( on Linkedin]( this article to a friend]( Magazine
It is said St. Patrick ran all the snakes out of Ireland. However, he has nothing on whoever removed the "sixgun snakes" from the Colt stable. But what was most missed by many seeking a 6-shot snubbie for concealed carry, of course, was the .38 Special Cobra. And now it's back. But first a bit of Colt's "pocket pistol" history. The market for CCW handguns is no new thing. Colt first answered the call with the 1848 Baby Dragoon and 1849 Wells Fargo. Â [READ MORE]( Â

[Browning's BPS turns 40]( [Share on Facebook]( on Twitter]( on Linkedin]( this article to a friend]( Times
Though he was long gone by the time his namesake company released its first modern slide-action shotgun, John Moses Browning had a hand in the development of the modern Browning BPS. [Handgun lore: Smith & Wesson Lemon Squeezer]( [Share on Facebook]( on Twitter]( on Linkedin]( this article to a friend]( Life

But I knew what she meant: Was the revolver extraordinary or rare, potentially a high-dollar treasure? Â [READ MORE](

When most people think of an American military .50 caliber, the round that comes to mind (deservedly so) is the .50 BMG. It is one of the world's great machine-gun and long-range sniping loads, adaptable to a number of different situations and in constant service since its introduction in 1918. Still, it was far from being the first .50 round used by the U.S. For that we have to go back well over a century to the inception of the self-contained cartridge itself. Â [READ MORE](
