--------------------------------------------------------------- Budget Magic: Four-Color Gates -----

[width="1"] [MTGGoldfish][Magic Newsletter] --------------------------------------------------------------- Budget Magic: Four-Color Gates (Standard, Magic Online) --------------------------------------------------------------- [Four color%2bguildgates c6f31af6 a327 43bf 892c b80f9ac75a3b%2ejpg](2BGuildgates-c6f31af6-a327-43bf-892c-b80f9ac75a3b%2Ejpg) Do the new Guildgate payoffs make a gate tribal deck possible in Ravnica Allegiance Standard? Let's find out![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Finance Update w/ Saffron Olive --------------------------------------------------------------- [Hydroid Krasis](Allegiance/Hydroid+Krasis#paper)[Marble Titan](Titan#paper)[Arcades, the Strategist](Set+2019/Arcades+the+Strategist#paper) This week Ravnica Allegiance Standard has been fairly quiet on the finance front. While most of the cards from Ravnica Allegiance are trending down, there are a few cards on the rise as they cement themselves as staples of the new format. The two biggest winners of the week are [Hydroid Krasis](Allegiance/Hydroid+Krasis#paper), which is everywhere in Standard at the moment and up to $35, and [Seraph of the Scales](Allegiance/Seraph+of+the+Scales#paper) which jumped 22% to just under $10 after showing up in Esper Midrange/Tempo, one of the hottest week one decks in Standard. While the first weeks of Standard are exciting, the true test will be the Pro Tour in a couple of weeks, which should set the metagame moving forward. In older formats, we had a couple of strange buyouts this week. Perhaps the oddest was [Marble Titan](Titan#paper) (up 388% to just under $9). Apparently, the card is good in [Arcades, the Strategist](Set+2019/Arcades+the+Strategist#paper) Commander decks as a way to slow down opponents that doesn't hurt your powerless creatures. Meanwhile, [Athreos, God of Passage](into+Nyx/Athreos+God+of+Passage#paper) nearly doubled up to $35, although the reason isn't entirely clear. While all of the Gods are at least somewhat popular in Commander, they don't really see meaningful tournament play in other formats. Expect both to trend back down as the initial buyout hype wears off. Finally, it's time to check in on Ravnica Allegiance as a whole. On the week the set dropped roughly 12% in value despite a few chase cards increasing. While the expected value of the set isn't horrible, it's no longer massively positive as it was when we first calculated it a couple of weeks ago. Expect it to continue to decline over the next month or so. As such, if you haven't already picked up the card you need from the set, you're better off waiting for Magic Online redemption to come online in a few weeks and for prices to hit their floor. --------------------------------------------------------------- Thirty Casual Decks under $20 for Magic: the Gathering Ravnica Allegiance --------------------------------------------------------------- [30 rna decks]( More than 30 fun Magic: the Gathering decks for under $20 perfect for casual play at home or on Magic Arena in Ravnica Allegiance Standard.[Read more]( Much Abrew: Vannifar Pod (Modern, Magic Online) Modern Mayhem: Living Dominance (Modern, Magic Online) [Ma vannifar pod] [Living dominance] Can Prime Speaker Vannifar make a Birthing Pod–style combo deck work in Modern?
