Let's load up on Gates and see if we can make it work on a $100 budget![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Finance Update w/ Saffron Olive --------------------------------------------------------------- [Thrumming Stone](Stone#paper) [Zombify](Player+Rewards/Zombify#paper) [Pawpatch Formation](Formation#paper) Last week during our finance update, we talked about how [Thrumming Stone](Masters+2022/Thrumming+Stone#paper) was ticking up thanks to [Hare Apparent](Apparent#paper) and the proliferation of "you can play any number" cards. Well, [Thrumming Stone](Masters+2022/Thrumming+Stone#paper) gained another 129% this week to $26. The good news is that this only applies to the original Coldsnap printing. If you need a [Thrumming Stone](Masters+2022/Thrumming+Stone#paper) or two to play with, you can still snag Double Masters 2022 printings for around $10 or $11. Speaking of past finance update advice, one thing we've seen over the past few months is old textless promos being reprinted into Standard and spiking to absurd prices. First it was textless [Pyroclasm](House+of+Horror/Pyroclasm#paper) and then [Burst Lightning](Lightning#paper) increasing thousands of%. Seeing these massive spikes made it seem like other potentially reprintable textless promos could be good, cheap pickups. Well, this week [Zombify]( joined the list of texteless promos to spike, gaining 1300% from under $1 to $15 (the price has been bouncing around a lot because there are zero copies for sale anywhere at the moment). Considering that [Pyroclasm](House+of+Horror/Pyroclasm#paper) is still $16 and [Burst Lightning](Lightning#paper) is $14, it wouldn't be a surprise to see this price mostly stick. Other cheap textless promos to keep in mind for the future include [Condemn](Commander/Condemn#paper), [Volcanic Fallout](Fallout#paper), and [Doom Blade](2011/Doom+Blade#paper), all of which are $2 or less, while the next tier includes cards like [Mortify](of+the+Machine+Commander/Mortify#paper), [Blightning](Booster/Blightning#paper), [Putrefy](House+of+Horror+Commander/Putrefy#paper), and [Terminate](Horizons+3+Commander/Terminate#paper), although some of these cards are already $5, which limits their appeal. Finally, [Pawpatch Formation](Formation#paper) jumped 279% this week to just under $2. The uncommon sees heavy sideboard play in both Standard and Pioneer, which is driving demand. While it's unlikely [Pawpatch Formation](Formation#paper) will go too much higher, at this point it's worth pulling out of your bulk at the very least. --------------------------------------------------------------- Pioneer Masters Spoilers — November 25 | Pioneer Masters Starts! --------------------------------------------------------------- Our first Pioneer Masters previews[Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Podcast 512: Legacy is Yugioh Now? --------------------------------------------------------------- The crew talks Eternal Weekend, slabbing in Magic and why black midrange always seems to be at the top of Standard before answering #MTGF...[Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- This Week in Legacy: Eternal Weekend NA 2024 --------------------------------------------------------------- Joe Dyer looks at the biggest Legacy Eternal Weekend yet![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Single Scoop: Can Tonybones Keep the Discard Decks Alive? --------------------------------------------------------------- Tinybones' newest iteration is looking way better than his Outlaws counterpart but is this the missing piece to keep Discard decks afloat against all the card advantage engines in this standard?[Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Vintage 101: Eternal Weekend NA 2024 --------------------------------------------------------------- Joe Dyer takes a look at Vintage Eternal Weekend 2024![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Much Abrew: Raise the Goblins (Poineer) --------------------------------------------------------------- Does the printing of Raise the Past in Foundations mean it's time for an aristocrats-style Goblins deck to shine in Pioneer?
