[MTGGoldfish][Magic Newsletter] [width="1"] --------------------------------------------------------------- Duskmourn: House of Horror Previews --------------------------------------------------------------- House+of+Horror/Abhorrent+Oculus#paper House+of+Horror/Kona+Rescue+Beastie#paper House+of+Horror/Ghostly+Dancers#paper House+of+Horror/Marina+Vendrell#paper House+of+Horror/Walk-In+Closet+Forgotten+Cellar#paper House+of+Horror/Nashi+Searcher+in+the+Dark#paper The entirety of Duskmourn has been revealed, Commander decks and all! The iconic sweeper was reprinted into Standard for the first time in more than a decade which is driving interest in the most blinged-out version of the card. While the promo was certainly under-priced at $3 now that the card will be Standard legal once again, I wouldn't pay much attention to the current price. Discounting [Wasteland (Valley of Gorgoroth)](Lord+of+the+Rings+Tales+of+Middle+Earth+Commander/Wasteland-Valley+of+Gorgoroth#paper), the most expensive player rewards card is textless [Damnation](Masters+2017+Edition/Damnation#paper) at just under $25 and most of the promos - even the playable ones - are $10 or less. Even pricing in the new demand from Standard, it seems unlikely that [Pyroclasm](2011/Pyroclasm#paper) can stick at more than $20, and dropping back down towards $10 seems likely. Meanwhile in Modern, [Rain of Gore](of+Gore#paper) is the hot new tech for dealing with the lifegain from [Guide of Souls](Horizons+3/Guide+of+Souls#paper) in the energy deck, pushing the enchantment up 46% this week to $15. Oddly, [Rain of Gore](of+Gore#paper) might be a relatively safe investment. The card was printed back before lifelink was a mechanic and its wording means that it doesn't actually stop lifelink, which makes it a super awkward card to reprint, especially when something like [Tainted Remedy](Origins/Tainted+Remedy#paper) exists. This said, I'd still look to dump my copies into the hype. Sooner or later the meta will shift and the demand for [Rain of Gore](of+Gore#paper) will drop along with its price. Finally, surveil lands are still ticking up. A few months ago when they first released, we talked about how the lands seemed like a good pickup for around $5. Well now the most expensive - [Undercity Sewers](Murders+at+Karlov+Manor/Undercity+Sewers#paper) - is up to $25 and half the cycle is over $10. Even now the cheaper members of the cycle might still have room to grow. If you don't have them already, I'd snag the ones under $10 while they are still cheap. --------------------------------------------------------------- Podcast 501: Duskmourn Spoilers II --------------------------------------------------------------- The crew talks a ton of new Duskmourn spoilers![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Commander Clash Podcast 164: Is this Stax Piece OK? --------------------------------------------------------------- From Roiling Vortex to Rest in Peace, we're gonna go over some common "stax pieces" and determine if you need to clear them with your pla...[Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Single Scoop: Bloomburrow Has Helped The Phyrexians! --------------------------------------------------------------- Who would've helped that Phyrexians would get a buff from so many Bloomburrow cards?[Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- This Week in Legacy: A House Never Sleeps --------------------------------------------------------------- Joe Dyer starts diving into Duskmourn: House of Horror for Legacy![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Against the Odds: Otter Duplimancy (Standard) --------------------------------------------------------------- What are the odds of using Vesuvan Duplimancy to win by making an absurdly big board of Daring Waveriders in Standard? Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
