--------------------------------------------------------------- Finance Update w/ Saffron Olive ----

[MTGGoldfish][Magic Newsletter] [width="1"] --------------------------------------------------------------- Eldrazi Winter vs 12-Post --------------------------------------------------------------- 12 Post made the top eight of the first ever Modern Pro Tour only to be banned shortly after. Years later the same thing happened during Eldrazi Winter. Which deck is best? Richard and Seth find out![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Finance Update w/ Saffron Olive --------------------------------------------------------------- [Scavenger's Talent](Talent#paper) [Vraska, Betrayal's Sting](Will+Be+One/Vraska+Betrayals+Sting#paper) [Omnibian]( This week in Magic finance, for the third week in a row, the biggest gainer was one of the rare Talents from Bloomburrow. First it was [Innkeeper's Talent](Talent#paper), then it was [Caretaker's Talent](Talent#paper), and then this week it was [Scavenger's Talent](Talent#paper)'s turn. While the one-mana enchantment hasn't really taken off in a specific deck yet, it has seen some play in both Standard and Pioneer sacrifice decks which is enough for it to spike 357% up to $6. At this point it might be worth snagging [Artist's Talent](Talent#paper) and [Stormchaser's Talent](Talent#paper) just in case. Both are still under $1, and based on what we've seen over the past few weeks, it seems clear that the rare class enchantments were very undervalued during spoiler season. Speaking of Standard, players are finally starting to take up to just how good [Innkeeper's Talent](Talent#paper) really is. Golgari Midrange, looking quite a bit like the version we played on Against the Odds a couple of weeks ago, is currently the most popular deck in the format, and prices are climbing. [Innkeeper's Talent](Talent#paper) itself gained another 18% this week up to $25 - a huge price for a in-print Standard rare. Meanwhile combo pieces [Liliana of the Veil (borderless)](United:Foil/Liliana+of+the+Veil-borderless#paper) (up 15% to $18) and [Vraska, Betrayal's Sting](Will+Be+One:Foil/Vraska+Betrayals+Sting#paper) (up 38% to $15) both posted meaningful gains as well. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out. Is Golgari the new best deck in Standard or will it fade now that it has a target on its back? We'll have to wait and see, but for now if you are interested in playing with the deck, expect to pay a premium to put it together. Finally in the world of Commander, [Omnibian](Allegiance+Guild+Kits/Omnibian#paper) is on the rise with the Frog gaining 225% to $9 thanks to the new Bloomburrow Frog legends [Clement, the Worrywort](the+Worrywort#paper) and [Glarb, Calamity's Augur (showcase)](Calamitys+Augur-showcase#paper). Its current price is a result of its lack of supply, originally being from Dissension and only reprinted in a low supply Ravnica Allegiance Guild Kits. Sooner or later it will get a real reprint and the price will crash. For now I'd say to sell your copies and play something else in your Frog deck. I just don't think [Omnibian](Allegiance+Guild+Kits/Omnibian#paper) has enough power to really make it worth its nearly $10 price tag. --------------------------------------------------------------- Full Decks on Sale in Magic Arena --------------------------------------------------------------- Arena just announced full decks on sale in the in-game Store.
