--------------------------------------------------------------- Budget Magic: $88 Ensoul Artifact --

[MTGGoldfish][Magic Newsletter] [width="1"] --------------------------------------------------------------- Commander Clash Podcast 150: Modern Horizons 3 Tier List --------------------------------------------------------------- The top cards from Modern Horizons 3 for Commander![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Budget Magic: $88 Ensoul Artifact (Pioneer) --------------------------------------------------------------- 2BArtifact-4f8e18a0-f056-4d57-ba86-575d5353558f%2Ejpg It's alive!!!![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Finance Update w/ Saffron Olive --------------------------------------------------------------- [Necrodominance](Horizons+3/Necrodominance#paper) [Outcaster Trailblazer](of+Thunder+Junction/Outcaster+Trailblazer#paper) [Kozilek, the Great Distortion](of+the+Gatewatch/Kozilek+the+Great+Distortion#paper) Considering the impending release of Modern Horizons 3, this week was actually fairly slow in the world of Magic finance. The biggest news is that prices from Modern Horizons 3 itself are down across the board with many chase cards like [Necrodominance](Horizons+3/Necrodominance#paper), [Ajani, Nacatl Pariah](Horizons+3/Ajani+Nacatl+Pariah#paper), [Ugin's Binding](Horizons+3/Ugins+Binding#paper), and [Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student](Horizons+3:Foil/Tamiyo+Inquisitive+Student#paper) dropping between 40% and 60% this week. Despite the declines card prices are likely to drop quite a bit more in the next month. If we look back at Modern Horizons 2, about a week before the set released, a complete set would cost you just under $1,700, which is almost exactly the same as the $1,650 a complete set of Modern Horizons 3 costs today. A month after Modern Horizons 2 released you could buy a complete set for under $700 - a 60% decrease in a month's time - which is likely what will happen with Modern Horizons 3 as well. If you are planning to buy singles, you'll save a lot of money by waiting a few weeks. Don't be fooled by the inflated presale prices. A ton of this set will be opened and prices will come down a ton. Meanwhile in Pioneer, [Outcaster Trailblazer (prerelease)](of+Thunder+Junction:Foil/Outcaster+Trailblazer-prerelease#paper) increased more than 300% this week to $4 after finding a home as a four-of in the new and improved builds of Mono-Green Devotion. The archetype took a big hit when [Karn, the Great Creator](of+the+Spark/Karn+the+Great+Creator#paper) was banned, but now it appears to be back with [Outcaster Trailblazer (prerelease)](of+Thunder+Junction:Foil/Outcaster+Trailblazer-prerelease#paper) offering a card advantage engine as the deck slings its big creatures. As an in-print Standard rare, it's unlikely to go too much higher in the near future, but at this point it's pretty clear it was underrated and undervalued during Outlaws of Thunder Junction preview season. Finally in Commander, Eldrazi are still on the rise. According to EDHRec, the two new five-color colorless Eldrazi legends - [Ulalek, Fused Atrocity](Horizons+3+Commander/Ulalek+Fused+Atrocity#paper) and [Azlask, the Swelling Scourge](Horizons+3+Commander/Azlask+the+Swelling+Scourge#paper) - are among the most popular new commanders from Modern Horizons 3. As a result, players are buying up old Eldrazi to upgrade their decks. Leading the way this week was [Kozilek, the Great Distortion (borderless profile)](Masters/Kozilek+the+Great+Distortion-borderless+profile#paper) which gained 42% to just under $6, although [Emrakul, the Promised End](Moon/Emrakul+the+Promised+End#paper), [Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger (borderless profile)](Masters/Ulamog+the+Ceaseless+Hunger-borderless+profile#paper), and [Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre](Masters+2022/Ulamog+the+Infinite+Gyre#paper) all ticked up this week as well. --------------------------------------------------------------- Podcast 487: The Top 20 Modern Cards from Modern Horizons 3 --------------------------------------------------------------- The crew counts down their top 20 Modern cards from Modern Horizons 3![Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Single Scoop: Grixis Laughing Rogues --------------------------------------------------------------- Jasper Flint loves to live, laugh, and steal so lets see if we can do just that in Explorer.[Read more]( --------------------------------------------------------------- I Opened $2,000 of Modern Horizons 3 --------------------------------------------------------------- MH3 is absurd, but also absurdly expensive. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
