Hi {NAME} Welcome to MSP Friday Flywheel, my weekly email to get your marketing wheel turning and make it go faster. Paul's musings: Business is never bad. Ever A few years back I was having a naughty McDonalds breakfast one morning. And a window cleaner at the next table was moaning to his apprentice about "how bad business was", and how "no-one wants their windows cleaned any more". What utter NONSENSE. I literally had to hold myself back from joining their conversation. Business is "bad" only for people who sit on their backsides complaining. For those who get up and start DOING stuff, business improves really quickly. The most successful business owners I've worked with over the years are those who who prioritise ACTION. Yes it's difficult because there's so much else to do. But the mental and business benefits of getting things done, outweigh the difficulties. That window cleaner could be knocking on other doors in every street, while his apprentice does the difficult cleaning work. My window cleaner does exactly that and has sewn up several streets. But there's still plenty of business out there... 287,000 people live in my home city of Milton Keynes here in the UK. The frustrated window cleaner could get good at Facebook or Instagram. Could build a relationship with people in a way that's never been possible before. He could leaflet 200 new houses every day. Knock on 100 doors. Sure that's tiring, but he'll win a new client every single day. And probably keep them for 3 years or more. He could get his van wrapped so it really stands out. "We clean any window". He could launch Milton Keynes's first window cleaning subscription, rather than ad-hoc cleaning. He could offer a free gutter clean with your first window clean. He could launch the 100% Lickable Guarantee. We guarantee your windows will be so clean, you could lick them. If you disagree, your clean is free. There's loads of stuff he could so. None of which will happen while he's sitting on his backside in McDonalds, moaning. Hit reply and tell me how business is for you right now. If it's bad I'll give you some marketing ideas. Last week I chatted to 6 MSPs who replied. From the web: [3 big trends on LinkedIn this September]( LinkedIn is the number one place for MSPs to go prospecting. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
