Our billboards will very visibly help get the truth out about the extent of Trump's crimes—and that Republicans STILL are doing nothing, even as more and more damning evidence is exposed. Dear MoveOn member, This week's public hearings on impeachment revealed "damning new evidence" and "explosive new detail" regarding Donald Trump's direct involvement in bribing Ukraine to help his re-election.1 Ambassador Bill Taylor—a 50-year civil servant appointed to serve in the U.S. government by Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Trump himself, and now the top U.S. official in Ukraine—testified on Wednesday that making aid approved by Congress to help save lives in Ukraine contingent on helping Trump's re-election campaign was simply "crazy."2 And then on Friday, as former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch testified, Trump ruthlessly attacked her on Twitter, which is tampering with witness testimony and sends a chilling message to other potential witnesses.3 And it's another impeachable offense.4 With Democrats in control of the House, we know there are more than enough Democratic votes to pass the eventual impeachment articles. And, with each passing day, impeachment in the House looking increasingly likely. But if we're going to convict Trump and remove him from office, we need Senate Republicans to join with Democrats—which means we need the Republican wall around Trump to break. That gets much harder to envision if no House Republicans back impeachment. That's why, right now, the single most important thing we can do on impeachment is drive the message as strongly as possible to retiring or persuadable Republicans that they must put the Constitution and our country over Trump's personal interest and support impeachment. To make sure they get the message, we're gearing up to launch billboards—like these—targeting retiring or persuadable Republicans in the House: We've designed the billboards. And we'll put them up if we can raise $100,000 by Monday. So far, MoveOn members have chipped in $52,000, so we're more than halfway there. Will you chip in $3 to help put us over the top? [Yes, I'll chip in to help erect billboards targeting key House Republicans on impeachment.]( Our billboards will very visibly help get the truth out about the extent of Trump's crimes—and that Republicans STILL are doing nothing, even as more and more damning evidence is exposed. MoveOn is running an all-hands-on-deck campaign to ensure that Trump is impeached, convicted, and removed from office. MoveOn members are already flooding Congress with calls. We're chasing and confronting Republicans throughout the halls of Congress. We're organizing on the ground in key states to turn the pressure way up on the senators who are most likely to break ranks with Trump. With the last congressional recess before the House is expected to vote on impeachment coming up, we've got to speak directly to Republicans on their home turf and let them know that it's not too late for them to do the right thing for the country. That's why we're gearing up to put up these billboards. If we can raise the funds. If we act now, we can have these billboards up in key districts with retiring or persaudable Republicans when Congress will be on break and back home for the last time before the impeachment vote. But we can put these billboards up only if MoveOn members chip in $100,000. We're just over halfway there, thanks to MoveOn members like you, {NAME}. Can we count on you to put us over the top? [Yes, I'll chip in $3 right now to help erect billboards targeting key House Republicans on impeachment.]( Thanks for all you do. –David, Emily, Schuyler, Tzyh, and the rest of the team P.S. We wouldn't ask if it weren't important. But MoveOn members decided to make this our top-priority campaign, because the stakes are so high. And to keep adding new tactics, like these billboards, we need to raise additional funds from MoveOn members like you. [That's why you're hearing from us so much, and why we need your support today. We know it's asking a lot, but these billboards could make a crucial difference in key districts around the country, and we need your help to put them up. Will you chip in $3?]( Sources: 1.
