The MoJo Daily newsletter, Monday through Friday. [View in browser]( [Support our nonprofit journalism]( [Mother Jones Daily Newsletter](     September 3, 2024 The fallout from the Trump campaign's absurd confrontation at Arlington continues. My colleague [Julianne McShane notes today that Jimmy McCain](, the son of the late Sen. John McCain, came out swinging against Trump over his aides' altercation with a cemetery official who had attempted to enforce the site's rules prohibiting campaign activity in certain sections. In addition to calling the incident a "violation," the younger McCain told CNN that he recently changed his voter registration to Democrat and that he planned to support Kamala Harris in the presidential election. The McCain family's issues with Donald Trump, of course, go far back. But don't expect Meghan McCain to be joining her sibling this November. As Julianne writes, the former View co-host—who, in my opinion, is one of the most irritating nepo babies on this planet—recently revealed that she's not voting for Harris or Trump. Instead, she [remains]( "a proud member of the Republican Party and (hopes) for brighter days ahead." My advice for Meghan? Don't hold your breath. —Inae Oh P.S.
