The May jobs report came in much hotter than expected, once again dashing expectations for the kind of moderate growth that could let the Federal Reserve cut interest rates. Sarah Hansen digs into differing [views on how the Fed might proceed](. While the stock market took the jobs report in stride, it sent bond prices tumbling. This was yet another disappointment for investors in this realm, who have seen lousy returns for several years now. But as Danny Noonan writes, this [bad news has a silver lining]( for bond investors. Meanwhile, given Nvidia’s massive rally, it was probably only a matter of time before it overtook Apple as the second-largest stock, in the process crossing the $3 trillion mark.
