[Follow the Money Morning LIVE streaming schedule here.]( Hello, Power Profit Traders! As your interest and excitement grows in trading Cryptocurrencies, you'll definitely want to have your glossary of terms handy. Crypto has a language of its own and the jargon can be intimidating if you let it, but I'll clarify some terms today, which will bring you one step closer to trading with confidence. I'll provide you with a glossary of terms, but, additionally, I'll clarify some specific terms like "Coins" and "Tokens,"" and I'll introduce you to "Currency Waves," which is a tool my Microcurrency group has used to find wildly successful trades since 2018. Since the general markets are struggling under today's economic conditions, it's a great time to become educated about the crypto world and to prepare yourself before the next mega run begins. The best time to get into crypto is on the ground floor, and since the broader market has lost ground this year, your time is rapidly approaching. I want you to access the glossary of crypto terms anytime, so click the link below and be sure to save the page to your favorites for easy access. [Click right here to access a glossary of crypto terms.]( As you participate in discussions about crypto trading, you'll often here the terms, "Coins," "Tokens" and "NFT's." Let me break them down for you, and then I'll introduce you to a new term you'll hear me mention over and over, and for good reason - "Currency Waves." Coins and Tokens There's a good chance you're already familiar with crypto "coins." Bitcoin (BTC) made its debut in 2009 and has been the talk of the town ever since. I can't think of an investable asset that has made so many millionaires in such a short amount of time. Let's start with coins and blockchains. To keep it simple, a blockchain is a public ledger that records cryptocurrency transactions. Each individual blockchain, like Bitcoin, can hold a single, we'll call it "native," coin. So, BTC is a coin native to the Bitcoin blockchain and ETH is a coin specific to the Ethereum blockchain. In addition to crypto coins, you'll hear about crypto tokens. Coins and tokens are often mistaken with each other because we've conditioned our minds with things like Susan B. Anthony one-dollar coins and tokens for New York subways, and in some cases coins or tokens might be accepted as a method of payment. Now, remember that cryptocurrencies are not actual fiat currency. So, you won't find people carrying around cryptocurrencies in their wallets and purses. The purpose of creating crypto coins was to replace traditional money. Although cryptocurrencies are digital, and not traditional fiat currency, they are essentially used for the same purpose - to pay for goods and services. One of the distinctions between coins and tokens is that coins can be mined and tokens cannot. I mentioned before that cryptocurrency is a means of replacing traditional money, and can act as a currency. Traders can also invest in them in hopes of a greater return, which is what I use them for. They can also be exchanged for other cryptocurrencies, pay for goods and services, or even use them to buy tokens. So, what are tokens? Tokens can be considered to be smart contracts. They do not have their own blockchain like Bitcoin, but rather they ride on the backs of blockchains one might say. While there can only be one coin per blockchain, there can be several tokens on blockchains. How do tokens work? To help you understand how tokens work, let's use an analogy of buying a car. You now own the car (the Coin), so you will also be responsible for its maintenance and repairs. Alternatively, if you need a car temporarily, you may rent one (the Token) instead. Under the rental agreement, you will pay a rental rate to use the car but you don't have to worry about any maintenance issues. Crypto.com originally had its token, but as it grew in popularity, it launched its own coin with its own blockchain. While I'm most interested in trading cryptocurrencies for profit, there are a variety of token types. Token Types: Utility, Security, Transactional, and Governance Tokens: I'll give you a brief definition of some different tokens although your main interest is likely to be trading coins and tokens for profit instead of minting and mining coins and tokens. Utility tokens have value tied to ownership and can be used for commercial purposes. You will hear a lot about nonfungible tokens (NFT's), which is a fancy way of saying they are interchangeable. So, while cryptocurrencies are fungible, NFTs are not. Security tokens are minted to represent ownership of another asset. So, for example, if you wanted to buy gold, instead of holding a bar of it, you can own a token that's a representation of gold instead. Transactional tokens might be used as a fast and easy way to transfer money. They oftentimes work as traditional currencies. Governance tokens allow token holders to vote on certain things. For blockchain games, someone with a lot of tokens may have stronger voting power on the creative direction of the game, for example. Even though there are similarities between crypto coins and tokens, they are not the same. As you prepare to become crypto traders, I think it's important to have at least a basic understanding of the crypto jargon, and with each step you take to understand the crypto world, the more prepared you'll be to trade them. Currency Waves Finally, I'd like to introduce you to Currency Waves, which may be the most important term to learn. The waves have contributed to the tremendous success I've had in the crypto space. I launched my Microcurrencies trading group in 2018, and since then I've applied Currency Waves, which in turn has resulted in a 90/90-win rate over the years. This simply means that out of the dozens and dozens of trades over the years, approximately 90% of them have been winners, AND the average return on those winners was approximately 90%. Look below at a small sample of those trades. Currency Waves are constructed using simple moving average lines, and moving average lines are based on the average price of the underlying security over a period of time. For example, I may look take the average price of a security over a ten-day period, and then compare that to the average price of a security over a 30-day period. Where the two meet and cross each other can be the starting point of a new trend - bullish or bearish. It's not rocket science, and I use a variety of moving average crossovers in my decision making, but the trading results are incredible. I'd love for you to join me in the discussions about what's on tap next. [Please click here and join me at 12:00 NOON ET Today](. I hope to see you there!
