it's an often-overlooked character trait that most entrepreneurs have and most average people do not

it's an often-overlooked character trait that most entrepreneurs have and most average people do not. It might be the key to success, and what separates the winners from the losers in business. On this edition of MOBE Daily, we’ll tell you what this unique characteristic is, and show you a couple examples of its power. Who's this Jerry Wilson guy I talk about in today's email? [How Soloflex Changed America](41475b/ct0_0/1?sid=TV2%3AagciiXzdH) [MOBE DAILY](41475b/ct1_0/1?sid=TV2%3AagciiXzdH) [] [START YOUR BUSINESS](41475b/ct2_0/1?sid=TV2%3AagciiXzdH) [] [SCALE YOUR BUSINESS](41475b/ct3_0/1?sid=TV2%3AagciiXzdH) [] [GROW YOUR WEALTH](41475b/ct4_0/1?sid=TV2%3AagciiXzdH) [] MOBE Daily #234 "With audacity one can undertake anything, but not do everything." ~ Napoleon Bonaparte Hey, We're less than 24 hours out from having our Diamond Mastermind clients arrive for the first event on Serenity Island - construction workers are scurrying about trying to get everything ready. It's not going to be perfect - but it will be more than adequate for hosting a world-class mastermind. If you want to see what's going on, watch the videos on [instagram stories.](41475b/ct5_0/1?sid=TV2%3AagciiXzdH) Ok so lets talk about us entrepreneurs.... We're an audacious type of small business owner. We are bold, daring, risk-takers. We live to play the game. And the score is measured by the amount of cashflow you attract. [Check out the latest on the island through my Instagram](41475b/ct5_1/1?sid=TV2%3AagciiXzdH) Take the story of Jerry Wilson, the entrepreneur behind Soloflex and Bowflex. He used to be a charter jet pilot, and his job was flying high-rollers into Las Vegas. After observing and interacting with wealthy passengers for years, he came to realize that none of them were any smarter than he was. But they all had something in common: audacity, which just means that they were willing to stick it all out there on the line. When you compare entrepreneurs with people who just live their 9-to-5 job every day until they retire, you'll find a simple character trait that separates them: the entrepreneurs are almost always risk-takers. They’re not afraid to step out on a limb. They don't like standing still. They always have to move forward. They always have to try the next big thing. They're always looking for another adventure. They're always looking for the next offer to test, the next product to invest in, the next revenue stream. Sure, a lot of entrepreneurs go through ups and downs in their business. They have moments where they're on top of the hill, and they've got a product or a business that's working really well. But you'll also find them at the bottom of the valley sometimes, after they've hit rock bottom, they've had a business fail and things aren't going well. Yet they continue to take risks. A friend of mine told me a story that I think illustrates this point. There was an entrepreneur who decided that his small town needed a theme park, so he bet $30 million that he could make it work. The problem was that he thought it was only going to take $15 million to get started, so he outran his capital and ended up going bankrupt. The park opened in May, and by the end of that first summer, he was already out of money and had to close. Now here’s the kicker... He already had an existing business (a show and dinner theatre) that was very profitable. Every night, people came to his ranch and saw a show and ate dinner, and he was wildly successful. Business was growing, expanding, and doing extremely well. But he had his vision to build an amusement park, and he spent all his savings on it. And he got people to invest their money in this dream of his. But when it cost twice what he expected, that was it. He went bankrupt. He even lost his successful business, because he spent all his capital to get the new business going. He gambled on a new business idea and lost virtually everything. [See more on my instagram](41475b/ct5_2/1?sid=TV2%3AagciiXzdH) Now, I don’t know the rest of his story, but I can guarantee you that won’t be his last business. He may be at the bottom of the ladder right now, but I know his type. Because he's the kind of entrepreneur spirit that will not stop. He’ll soon be running a new business of some kind, somewhere. He'll find a way to be successful, because that's just the way entrepreneurs are. A lot of small business owners have people telling them that they shouldn't be in business. The doubters are everywhere. But successful entrepreneurs ignore the advice of their naysayers. The people who tell them why their ideas won’t work. For the wild-eyed entrepreneurs, it's about deciding that you're going to jump in and go for it. You've got to be audacious. Just remember, entrepreneurs take risks. And the reason most people don’t experience the success they seek is because most people don't have the audacity – the guts – to take the kinds of risks required to succeed in business. It’s that entrepreneurial mindset that you absolutely have to depend on, because there will be a lot of people out there who will try to talk you down. Refuse to let them succeed. You can choose to see these as problems, or you can choose to see them as opportunities. John Chow has always chosen to see opportunities where others may have seen problems, and that's why he's been successful in business. In [this video](41475b/ct6_1/1?sid=TV2%3AagciiXzdH), filmed at the [Super Charge Summit](41475b/ct7_0/1?sid=TV2%3AagciiXzdH) in Las Vegas, he talks about an example of a time he chose to see an opportunity instead of a problem. Now, how many of those hours are spent behind the computer? If you're like most online business owners, then 70–90% of your working hours are spent behind the computer. You might think that having an "online" business justifies this, but think again. In [this video](41475b/ct8_1/1?sid=TV2%3AagciiXzdH), I explain why even online business owners should not spend all their time behind their computer. When your business is turning over 9 figures a year, however, it becomes necessary to hire for managerial positions that carry a lot of responsibility. Hiring the wrong people for positions like these can cost your company a lot of money. MOBE uses a 13-step hiring process to hire senior managers and protect against miss-hires.
