Do you do this as well? [Mindvalley Logo]     How often do you check social media at work? It’s not necessarily a bad thing if you do. I do it too. But a few years ago, I realized I was developing an odd, unhealthy relationship with Instagram. I had the relentless urge to open up the app far more often than usual. It got a little out-of-hand when I realized that even in the middle of a meeting, that urge would flare up. I would open Instagram, catch myself, and immediately turn it off. But where did this urge come from? Well, after I started learning about the psychology of distraction from the brilliant Nir Eyal, [I realized what was going on](.       I wasn’t checking Instagram because I got an alert or I was tagged in a post by a friend. Instead, there was an internal trigger that was causing me to open Instagram. And with Nir’s ideas, I realized what that internal trigger was for me: Loneliness. You see, this was happening at the height of the pandemic and lockdown. I was going days without seeing another human being in person. The only interactions were Zoom calls. And so, this loneliness became a trigger for me to open Instagram as a way to ‘connect’ with my closest friends. But once I started applying Nir’s ideas on [‘indistractibility,]( those same urges almost vanished overnight. Now, you may have your own internal triggers that are causing your mind to seek out distractions, and impairing your ability to stay focused and productive. With this idea in mind, I want to invite you to a LIVE webinar I’m hosting with Nir Eyal to show you how to both identify these triggers AND rewire your inner programming so you essentially become immune to distractions. The ‘[Banish Overwhelm, Maximize Focus & Productivity]( webinar is free and happens this Sat Apr 1st at the following times: - 🇺🇸 Los Angeles: 7am - 🇺🇸 New York: 10am - 🇩🇪 Berlin: 4pm - 🇦🇪 Dubai: 6pm - 🇮🇳 Mumbai: 7:30pm - 🇭🇰 Hong Kong: 10pm   [Register free](   [Mindvalley Logo]( 14525 SW Millikan Way #31545 Beaverton, OR 97005-2343 [Get it on Google Play]( [Download on the App Store]( [Mindvalley on Facebook]( [Mindvalley on Twitter]( [Mindvalley on Instagram]( [Mindvalley on Youtube]( [Mindvalley on Whatsapp]( [Mindvalley on Telegram]( [Mindvalley on Linkedin]( [Support Center]( Policy](
