I’m proud of everything we’ve done to support mental health and addiction services during my time in the U.S. Senate. But there is still so much work to be done The Michigan Victory Fund is dedicated to keeping Michigan and the U.S. Senate blue. While we’ve made incredible progress through the years, mental health issues and substance use disorder are still far too often stigmatized in our society. That stigma can have tragic consequences. Many don’t get the support they need to get better, and some are even criminalized for their conditions. [We must do better for ourselves, our families, and our friends. Will you add your name and join me in standing up for mental health today? It’s time to finally fund health care above the neck like we do below the neck.]( I’m proud of everything we’ve done to support mental health and addiction services during my time in the U.S. Senate. I fought to increase access to mental health care by authoring the Excellence in Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Act, which provides federal funding for community mental health centers nationwide. This legislation has been instrumental in expanding access to mental health care for millions of Americans. I have also introduced legislation to improve mental health care for our nation's veterans, authored the mental health parity provisions in the Affordable Care Act, and increased funding for mental health research. And I have been a vocal critic of policies that criminalize people for their mental health or addiction issues. But there is still much work to be done. We must continue investing in mental health and addiction services and ensure everyone has access to the care they need to get better. That's why I am asking for your help today. [I am calling on all grassroots supporters to sign our petition to ensure everyone can access high-quality mental health and addiction services. With your support, we can continue to expand access to care and provide the necessary resources for those who are struggling.]( Thank you for your continued support.
