We'd are grateful for your continued support, but you can opt-out of future emails please click [unsubscribe]( . Friend, Happy Pride Month! Each June, we celebrate the generations of trailblazing LGBTQ+ Americans who’ve fought for the right to live authentically. In the past year alone, Democrats have made historic strides for LGBTQ+ rights. We’ve worked to ban discrimination against LGBTQ+ students in their schools, as well as to protect LGBTQ+ adults in healthcare settings. We have so much to celebrate, but this election year, we’re in danger of losing that progress and more. According to a new poll by the Public Religion Research Institute, support for LGBTQ+ rights has dropped among Americans for the first time in decades, especially among the far right. At the same time, the UN Human Rights Committee reported a sharp increase in new laws introduced in state legislatures around the country targeting LGBTQ+ Americans. These attacks are dangerous and wrong. It’s not just rhetoric: The Washington Post reported an increase in anti-LGBTQ+ hate crimes over the past year. So, this June, let’s celebrate our diversity and share our stories. But let’s also rededicate ourselves to the progress we still need to win and our commitment to restore rights and improve conditions for LGBTQ+ individuals nationwide.
