Americans are turning to the Democratic Party to put an end to the madness, the hatred, and the stream of malicious lies coming from Donald Trump and his far-right MAGA allies. The stakes have never been higher. We must lead from a place of love, empathy, and understandingâthe common values that unite us as Americans. Progress is about creating a more perfect union, one where we find common ground and build a society that includes everyone. The alternative? A future where the MAGA playbook divides us with fear, hatred, and misinformationâwhile a small group of right-wing elites consolidates power and wealth for themselves, leaving the rest of us behind. This election isnât just about politics. Itâs about the soul of our country. Itâs about whether weâll allow Donald Trump and his MAGA loyalists, like Steve Scalise, to dismantle the inclusive, multiracial, and multigenerational democracy weâve fought so hard to protect. They seek to destroy everything we stand forâand theyâre closer than ever. Iâm not a seasoned politician, but I am fully committed to fighting the bigotry, divisiveness, and hate that threatens our peaceful democracy. This right-wing movement endangers us all. But for some of us, the stakes are even higher. Theyâre targeting communities like mineâthe LGBTQ+ community, Black and brown Americans, immigrants, and womenâsimply to score cheap political points.
