Design for Policy is a full day event cum workshop being organised by ACM SIGCHI chapter at Srishti

[View this email in your browser]( Design for Policy is a full day event cum workshop being organised by ACM SIGCHI chapter at Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology along with NUMA AI Hub on 23rd March, Saturday. The event aims to explore the potential of design-thinking in policymaking. In the long term, it may help in to establish a dialogue between design practitioners and policymakers. The problems of the future will be increasingly defined by one word—messiness. Technological, socio-political and democratic shifts will play important roles. Their contribution will be more in making these problems complex, indeterminate and interconnected, rather than the other way around. To exemplify: - How would Artificial Intelligence (AI) affect the democratic process? - How would the infrastructure of the cities cope up with an aspiring population? - How would automatic cars affect the idea of employment? We are sure that the policy-makers will be able to rise and accept these challenges. Design for Policy day caters to the following audience: - Policymakers (Primary audience) - Lawyers - Technocrats - Startups - Social Scientist - Artists - Story-tellers - Designers REGISTRATION AND OTHER DETAILS Please visit the link:[( Time: 12 Noon till 6 pm Date: 23rd March 2019 (Saturday) Venue: NUMA Bengaluru | 46/1 Church Street | Bengaluru, KA #Design4Policy Copyright © 2019 MixedBag Media Pvt Ltd, All rights reserved.
