Blake Emal has had a helluva career. In 2011, he was a volunteer missionary. I don’t know what that entails but it sounds completely different from his job a decade later: CMO of CopyAI. If you don’t know what CopyAI is, it was one of the faster growing tech startups of the last few years. They were one of the first companies to truly capitalize on the AI wave and grew from $0 to $2M in their first 10 months. 14 months later, they hit $10M in ARR. Perhaps more importantly, CopyAI helps people use AI to write marketing copy for a plethora of different needs. Blake’s an expert in SEO, ad creative, content marketing, and copywriting. Our team at Maven has been using AI for this work as well. I’ll be honest though - we still haven’t totally figured it out. It is harder than we expected to just test our way into this. Lucky for us, Blake is going to teach a course on this subject at Maven. He will be teaching how to get high quality, usable results straight from tools like ChatGPT, Notion AI, Zapier, and more. His goal is to make sure you can consistently write great prompts, reliably produce usable outputs and build repeatable processes using AI in your workflow. I think in the next 3-5 years, every marketer will be using AI. Until then, if you learn it now, you’ll have a massive advantage over those who don’t. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
