Representative Greene wasnât even using a dog whistle â it was a bullhorn, putting a racist target on my back to her MAGA supporters. It echoes what happened with Emmett Till and with Mike Brown, and unfortunately this country has a history of characterizing Black men who are outspoken, who stand their ground, or who push back as being âthreateningâ or âintimidating.â Marjorie Taylor Greene is a white supremacist. Describing somebodyâs beliefs â which are clear for everybody to see â isnât âlike calling a person of color the n word,â no matter what false equivalencies she might draw. This behavior is dangerous and reckless â but we canât let it stop our movement for progressive change.
