[image](=) [image] This Week in the Market Stocks retreated as the S&P 500 moved below its 50-day moving average and closed below it on Friday. A pullback was not too much of a surprise after the move higher over the past couple of weeks. Going forward, a neutral to non-bearish market bias will still make sense if the indexes can avoid a further downturn below some horizontal support levels. Implied volatility and option prices remain relatively low despite spiking earlier last week. Traders and investors will get a full week of trading again after the holiday-shortened past week. A move through that level will spark a closer look at bull call spreads. AMZN – With the stock still bullish, bull call and bull put spreads will be considered once again this week. BMY – After dropping sharply, the stock rallied to close out the week. But with the downtrend still in place, potential bear calls and bear puts will be explored.
