Directional Butterflies, French Physiologists and Bending Spoons with Your Mind I can read minds. OK

[image]() [image] This Week in the Market On Monday and Wednesday the market appeared tame, but stocks moved severely lower to close out the week, returning thoughts of a revived bearish market to the conversation. Comments from Federal Reserve President Jerome Powell forced buyers to the sideline. Powell warned that the Fed may have to raise rates higher than expected just to keep inflation in check. Naturally, that did not sit well with traders and investors. The three major indexes all closed below their 200-day moving averages, and a non-bullish bias seems warranted until the indexes close above that level again. Implied volatility levels and option prices rose as expected with the decline. It is another fairly heavy week as far as economic reports go. While Monday will be quiet, later in the week both the CPI and PPI will be updated and the February retail sales number will be released. The next FOMC announcement is still over a week away, and tensions are and will remain high. Batten down the hatches and put on your seatbelts because the ride may just get bumpier. Remember, sitting on your hands is a position. Have a healthy, happy and especially disciplined week! I never saw him do it, and let’s just say I had my doubts. But he swore he could. Anyway, I feel like I can almost read minds in [Continue Reading ...]() MTM Watchlist Here are a few trade ideas we will look at in group coaching class this coming week: SPY – With the market pulling back big this past week, we will be looking for at least a little bounce higher at some point. Potential bull put spreads will be explored. AAPL – The calendars on this stock have continued to perform profitably. Look for more around the $150 level this week provided the stock does not take a major dive. AMAT – The stock has held its own for quite some time but pulled back late last week. Potential short iron condors will be considered around support and resistance levels. [image]() The strategies in this newsletter are for educational and informative purposes only.
