[image](=) [image] This Week in the Market Stocks were able to move higher for the week as the S&P 500 hit a new all-time high. The week had a shaky start, but stocks were bolstered after the Federal Reserve cut interest rates 50 basis points Wednesday. The market gapped higher and rallied Thursday, followed by a pullback Friday. Looking ahead, a non-bearish outlook seems warranted on the market after another move higher last week. The three major indexes are well above their 50-day and 200-day moving averages. Implied volatility and option prices remain on the low side with this continued move higher. The next round of quarterly earnings is still a couple of weeks away, but as we know time flies and it will be here soon. This week is loaded with economic numbers, including housing reports, consumer reports and the latest update to the GDP Thursday. In addition, the week is filled with Federal Reserve speakers with Thursday being especially heavy (that’s when Fed Chair Jerome Powell is scheduled to talk). Remember, you are a risk manager first. Have a safe, healthy and prosperous week! Over time, we know that inflation can chip away at the value of your cash holdings. Every dollar buys a little less. But gold? Gold tends to maintain its purchasing power. When inflation heats up, people flock to gold because, well, it works. [Continue Reading …]( MTM Watchlist Here are a few trade ideas we will most likely look at in MTM’s group coaching class this week: SPY – 0-DTE iron condors and double calendars continue to do well, and more will be modeled out this week. META – Last week the stock moved to an all-time high over a $540 resistance level. Potential bull call spreads will be explored. AAPL – The $230 level has been resistance for the stock in the past. Potential calendar spreads and verticals around that area will be considered again this week. [image](=) The strategies in this newsletter are for educational and informative purposes only.
