Thank you! ðð Greetings {NAME}! First, happy last day of February! Being a leap year, of course, we get a February 29th this year. Did you know? There is an ancient Irish tradition where women are allowed to propose to men on Leap Day. ð° Based on a legend of Saint Bridget and Saint Patrick, this practice once had legal basis in Scotland and England. Teehee!! Just a fun tidbit for you! ð This was the glorious view from my hotel room for the past couple of nights! The Beachfront Inn in Brookings, Oregon... read more below in the postscript! ðð² Helpful topics this week in Mari's Social Scoop Facebook Group For this week's email, I've rounded up some wonderful topics, discussions, responses, and resources from inside my Facebook Group: - Christine sparked a lot of [discussion]() asking why is it her Professional Mode Facebook profile grew from 700 to 6.2k but over the past two weeks she's seen no new followers and her reach is way down.
- Laura is stumped why she's unable to go live from her Android in [landscape mode](.
- Nicole is wondering what the [padlock]() at the bottom of her Instagram Reel indicates.
- Bret asks what [software]( is helpful for managing lots of messages in Facebook Messenger.
- Sandra asks about notices from Meta about [violating music rights]( on Stories and Reels.
- Big Mike @ Route 66 Road Relics reminds everyone to regularly review your Page Recommendation section to ensure your Page is [recommendable]().
- Hollie asks if using capital letters for each word in a [hashtag]() is still advisable.
- Katrine asked where to find the [best time to post](=) (active users) on Facebook and Instagram. The Wolf Is At The Door - new AI book [the wolf is at the door]( My friend Ben Angel has a brand new book that just came out this week: [The Wolf Is at the Door: How to Survive and Thrive in an AI-Driven World](=). This book exceptional. I was fortunate to receive an early copy and wrote a glowing review. I also featured the book in my Social Media Marketing World 2024 talk last week. It's that good. I'm going to be interviewing Ben for my audience all about AI on March 13th. I'll share more details with you very soon! (I have no vested interest in Ben or his book. I just love to share amazing resources with my community!) PLUS, as promised in my last email, I am planning on a private webinar for you on Facebook Marketing in an AI World. The response has been amazing and I'll follow up with you once I've set the date. AI Resources If you're not already following the [Marketing AI Institute](), I feel it's one of the most helpful, level-headed, and up-to-date sources of useful, practical, non-hype information about artificial intelligence. Tune into my friend Paul Roetzer and his co-host Mike Kaput's [weekly podcast](). Paul is the founder and CEO of the Marketing AI Institute and Mike is the Chief Content Officer. The Institute offers many levels of training. One of which is a FREE virtual one-day event coming up on March 6th called the [AI for Writers Summit](=). The event is sponsored by Jasper and you can get a free ticket if you agree to having your contact info shared with them. Otherwise there is a paid option for a private live pass, or you can add on-demand. Paul says they had over 4,000 people registered for this same event last year. I imagine there will be significantly more this year! Whether you consider yourself a writer or not, I feel this conference will be worthwhile tuning into at least some of the sessions! â (I have no vested interest in the Marketing AI Institute or any of its offerings. As mentioned above, I just love to share what I feel are valuable resources with my community!) Okiedokes, that's a wrap for this week's email! You're welcome to reach out to me anytime. You can reply to this email. Plus, come connect with your fellow marketers in my wonderfully supportive [Social Scoop Facebook Community](). Cheers 'til the next time! Author, The New Relationship Marketing P.S. I just got back from a delightful 3-day trip to coastal Oregon. ðð² It's such a pretty drive (took about 4+ hours!) through the redwoods down into California and back up to Brookings, Oregon. (I live in Ashland, OR - moved here last summer after 25 years in San Diego, CA). The event in Brookings was hosted by [Travel Southern Oregon Coast](=). Such a lovely group of local businesses including golf resorts, hotels, restaurants, airports, florists, gift stores, university, boat tours, bowling alley, and much more!! I was delighted to give a social media marketing keynote speech on Tuesday and a half-day workshop on Wednesday. After having just spent ten days in San Diego, TBH, it's been an intense February. I'm definitely looking forward to just a wee bit of R&R in March. ð If you have any questions or feedback, you can reply directly to this email.
