Watching video on Facebook and Instagram accounts for more than HALF of all time spent on these two platforms. ð¬ This includes [REELS](, of course. Reels has driven more than a 40% increase in time spent on Instagram since the company launched this popular short form video format. (The same format that made TikTok so wildly popular!) ð± There's no question, short form vertical videos are here to stay and must be a big component of your content marketing in 2024. Meta's AI-powered discovery engine Did you know that at least 20% of the content you see in your feed on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads is from 'unconnected' accounts? That is, people / businesses that you do not know and do not follow. Well, Meta says that this AI-driven feed recommendation keeps growing its impact on incremental engagement. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently stated,"This year alone, we've seen a 7% increase in time spent on Facebook and a 6% increase on Instagram as result of recommendation improvements." Hm. ð±ð So, as annoying as it can be to have all kinds of random stuff stuffed into your feed, just know that it's helping people consume more content. 𤪠Download anyone's public Instagram Reels Instagram recently announced that all users can now [download publicly posted Reels](. Previously the option was only available to U.S. users as part of a test launched in June. You do have a choice as to whether you want to allow anyone to download your Reels or not. So that's a good thing, yes? But, what would be the advantage of letting anyone download your Reels content? Possibly more exposure, visibility, reach on other platforms. Just like we see TikTok videos posted across all other social platforms, right? I don't know about you, but I just have never really gotten the practice of posting other people's content like this - where the account doing the reposting ends up with a ton of traffic and views. ð Maybe I'm missing something... 𤷠Got any special offers to share?
