...Mari has the scoop for you Greetings {NAME}! I'm currently en route from the Pacific north west coast to the Atlantic south east coast of the US! (It's a long haul with 3 flights now that I live in rural Oregon. Lol!) I'm speaking this week in West Palm Beach, FL at the AWAI (American Writers & Artists Institute) Bootcamp and am looking forward to connecting with 300+ attendees in person and 100+ tuning in on the livestream. I'll also be soaking up some great knowledge myself, especially from StoryBrand founder Donald Miller - a business leader I've admired for some time. Are you familiar with him? Money from Meta? What is the biggest payout you've ever received from Meta / Facebook? I recently posted this question on my Facebook Page and am amazed at the array of [answers](). Everything from $0 to $35,000! These payouts are from performance bonuses (previously the now defunct Reels Play Bonus program) and ad revenue share. What was sad to see in the comments is how many folks have run into issues like Facebook not properly confirming their financial information, etc. so these folks are unable to even get paid. Join the conversation [here](). Meta's new AI Chats are available now = Have you tried the new [Meta AI Chats](=)yet? They’re starting to roll out in Instagram inbox and Messenger. To see if you have access, just start a new DM > then you'll see the option to 'Create an AI chat.' Per Meta's recent [announcement](=), there are numerous avatar versions of celebrities covering a variety of topics that you can interact with. The avatar just has a bunch of canned expressions. But you can ask the chat whatever you wish. 🤪 [Side note: I understand some celebs received $5M for about six hours of work to create their AI Chat.] I think this feature has a long way to go. I doubt we'll see mass adoption just to chit-chat with a celeb. But it's a start. Personally, I’m definitely looking forward to creating my own that is much more animated and is actually me talking. Ha! There could be an abundance of use cases for customer service, FAQs, lead nurturing, pre- and post-sales support, and more. Even so, this nugget from [Bloomberg]( made me chuckle! 😆 “Meta’s chatbots feel like the latest symptom of a company that’s hopelessly confused about its identity—torn between a wildly profitable but past-its-prime social network and a vision of the future that nobody seems to want and that has led to tens of billions of dollars in losses, with no end in sight." Meta Verified subscribers may get more visibility Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, [announced]() today that the platform is testing a way for people to explore their Instagram feed and reels by toggling to ONLY Meta Verified accounts. Hmmm. Mosseri stated this could be 'a way for businesses and creators to get discovered.' Personally, I'm not so sure about that. Seems like a bit of bribery to get you to pay for the MV subscription. 🤔 This is not more post reach, by the way. But more ‘discoverability.’ I suppose it could be an incentive to pay for the MV subscription. Your thoughts? And on the subject of Meta Verified, Adam Mosseri put out a [poll]( back in June asking what users' favorite feature of the subscription was... and hands down it was the verified badge.
